Claw clipping success22 Feb 2006 03:16 GMT11
After worrying myself over the claw clipping issue, and getting lots of
good advice, I did it today.  I didn't exactly use any of the methods
suggested, but a sort of combo of everything.
First, I made myself relax and feel positive, hoping to transmit some of
Purrs needed for a lost cat!22 Feb 2006 00:21 GMT5
When I took the laundry downstairs this morning a lady was tapping on
a tin so I asked her who she was looking for... the grey cat  who
lives in number 11 is an escape artist and it got out this morning
when she opened the front door. :( I helped her look but we didn't see
Boarding Purrs?22 Feb 2006 00:18 GMT12
I am leaving tomorrow for my long-planned, long-anticipated ten days
in Italy-- and early in the day putting the two boys in stir.
Actually, it's a great boarding place in a clinic that specializes in
kitties-- the cats are in a sunny room, get toys and out-of-cage time
My Unique Cat Condo22 Feb 2006 00:17 GMT8
Since my kitties will be stuck inside the house after I finish moving and
until I get fencing installed, I wanted to make something special and new
for them.  It may be quite some time until my fence can be completed,
because of unexpected expenses with the house.

My sweet, darling Romeo passed away yesterday (tuesday) afternoon at 5:35pm,
at the Lort Smith Animal Hospital.
Romeo's condition had deteriorated drastically. He had become anaemic and
his red blood cell count had dropped from 19% on saturday, to 13% yesterday

Paws under the door21 Feb 2006 23:49 GMT4
Lately, the cats worry about me when I go into the laundry room.
Every time I come out, three of four cats are waiting at the door, and
Buster looks worried from his comfy perch.
Lately, however, Dulce Mae has decided that she will try to rescue
Purrs and prayers for my daughter, please21 Feb 2006 23:03 GMT14
It doesn't just rain but it pours, doesn't it?
Please purr and pray for my daughter's job. Her company is starting a
round of lay-offs once again and since she is not high up enough in the
hierarchy, her job may be in jeopardy. With the scarcity of jobs in the

I took Miranda and Caliban in for their final (I hope) ringworm test.
it's pretty cold here (-10 C + wind chill factor making it -20 C (15 -
-5 F)) and I put a woolly blankie in each cat's carrier.
Miranda was the perfect angel as usual. She weighed the same as in
ARGH! Stupid pet owners!21 Feb 2006 21:39 GMT8
There's some guy on the works bulletin board who is complaining about his
shit-zhu dog scratching itself stupid and smelling really bad. Not
complaining in the 'what should I do' sort of way, but just bitching that
the dog is useless and a pain in the butt.
Weather is my fault21 Feb 2006 21:12 GMT7
Sigh... Dulce Mae is upset with me over the sub-freezing wet and icy
weather.
I tell her it is way too yucky out for a pretty princesss, and she
demands that I make it stop.

An overabundance of nursecats21 Feb 2006 21:08 GMT9
Last week was the week from hell - two server crashes that had to be
dealt with in the wee hours of the morning, and my son's laptop died
late at night that same week. Since he's a senior in Computer Science,
going without a laptop is not an option so we had to do some late night ...
What a noise!!!!21 Feb 2006 19:17 GMT9
Several times here people have mentioned/ there have been pictures of
kitties playing with.. I don't know what its called but it's a round
track with a ball in and a bit in the middle (usually with some sort of
feather on a stick thing) were kitty can scratch whilst batting the
Buster's hairball21 Feb 2006 13:28 GMT7
Senyah left her warm jacket on one of the chairs.
Buster decided it made a good cushion, and claimed it as his. In
fact, Buster was sitting on Senyah's jacket when he had to hork up a
hairball.
