| What is your cat proud of? | 27 Feb 2006 00:55 GMT | 30 |
Nocturne is inordinately proud of the fact that she cost money. $60 at the animal shelter to be precise. Nocturne: "All the other idiot pets in this household were free. Evidently you get what you pay for."

| Otis is barfing up a storm | 26 Feb 2006 18:45 GMT | 27 |
Otis threw up 5 times today and there are small places where he's had some dry-ish heaves as well. He was licking his lips all night last night and is still doing the same thing today, though less frequently. I hope it will clear up on its own in short order but will watch him

| Please vote for my pet! | 26 Feb 2006 16:24 GMT | 1 |
While you're chillin on a Sunday, surfing the web and reading this newsgroup, please take a minute to vote for my cat in the Petmeds "cutest pet" contest. I can win $1000 and I could really use the money.

| Licky-Loo! | 26 Feb 2006 15:22 GMT | 4 |
Persia has, of late, become very "licky". It started before my last trip. If we're on the couch together, I'll suddenly find her licking my hand or my wrist or my elbow. This is usually followed by a gentle love nip so I don't think she's demonstrating bathing techniques :) (She ...

| True Colours | 26 Feb 2006 14:37 GMT | 3 |
We took Nocturne to the vet for her checkup and once again, Nox was all purrs and cuddles and bunts. Upside downy head. Snuggles, nuzzles. Once again no one would believe us when we told them our love bug was a little tyrant.

| Jack-in-the-box | 26 Feb 2006 11:29 GMT | 4 |
There's a large empty box in the middle of our dining room from some recently acquired thing or another. There is a cat named Jack sitting on top of the box. There is a human in the living room, watching TV. Suddenly, the human looks over at the box, and Jack is no longer

| Yay!! Jasmine's back home!! | 26 Feb 2006 06:48 GMT | 14 |
Jasmine is home!! Rather sore and sorry and very very grumpy. She is hissing at everyone, and all the cats are stepping around her warily. She's making it clear that she is not in the mood!! I was really happy with the vet, they checked her over at no extra charge and gave me ...

| Too smart cat | 25 Feb 2006 19:31 GMT | 6 |
Cat Five may be too smart for us. I got Kathi an electric heated throw blanket last Christmas for lounging in the living room as we turn the thermostat back (damn natural gas prices are extortionate in NY). Yesterday instead of it being on Kathi's chair, I found it on the floor in ...

| Samuel R. Thunderpaws (aka Scat) (long) | 25 Feb 2006 19:28 GMT | 11 |
The wind whistles as it blows past the windows and a leafless branch scratches at the windowpane. In the distance dogs, disturbed by wind and cold and the impending threat of rain are barking incessantly. Samuel R. Thunderpaws opens one eye and cocks an ear in the direction of ...
