A cat in the house ...04 Feb 2006 02:34 GMT1
Lindy apparently subscribes to the saying "A cat in the house is worth two
in the back yard."  I was eating my breakfast in the living room this
morning, as I always do.  I looked out the sliding glass door and saw a gray
cat in the back yard.  At first, I assumed it was Nanki-Poo, ...
Thanks for all the Christmas cards!!03 Feb 2006 23:47 GMT2
Because I was offline I was unable to thank you all for the christmas cards.
It was so magical to recieve so many beautiful cards from all over the
world, and the wonderful creative things you all did really touched me.
Every single card was magic, but I also have to thank a few ...

News Travesty [OT]03 Feb 2006 22:01 GMT8
There was another chase filmed on Houston TV - a gunman had kidnapped a
woman and her baby.  You could see the gunman holding a shotgun out of the
broken-out back windshield of the car.  The woman opened the driver's door,
and then slammed into the back of another vehicle and was ...
Rest in peace, Topaz03 Feb 2006 19:24 GMT16
My sister's cat Topaz has crossed the bridge. She told me last week when
I saw her.
Topaz acquired her family as a tiny kitten, when my sister and brother-in-law
were newlyweds.  She was the tiny orange ball of fluff, and her brother

Sometimes, I just really *like* hoomans. I hope you can see this without
having to log on. The caption under the photo says:  "Atlanta firefighter

Suggestions for doping a kitten...02 Feb 2006 22:56 GMT11
Does anyone have any suggestions for slowing a hyperactive hoolikitten
down? Lily has had kitten greebling zoomies for the last hour and she
shows no sign of slowing down. She's going mental - she's killed all the
papers on my desk - twice, she's been up the curtains, she's beaten ...
Bad Luna... again02 Feb 2006 22:26 GMT6
Some of you might remember Luna's skill at opening doors (how does she
manage to hide her opposable thumbs?) and her fascination with our attic
space. Well, she managed to open the A/C closet door last night, climbed
up the furnace and disappeared into the unknown (aka the attic ...
Why is my stomach purring?02 Feb 2006 17:01 GMT1
Somewhere in the middle of last night, I woke up, and wondered,
sleepily, why the back of my midriff was rumbling with a noise like a
cat purr.  I could both hear and feel the vibration.  After thirty
