What to do when you find a lost kitty?11 Feb 2006 21:39 GMT12
I just went downstairs to bring in the laundry and I saw a lady taking
a shortcut through the complex - with a very small black shape
following behind. She was ignoring it so it obviously wasn't her kitty
and I've never seen it before in my life. I took a few steps towards

Silver calmed down in about three hours and stopped hisspitting at her
sister... then John came home and he told me to bring the carrier out
to the livingroom to see what she'd do. Scouty came along took one
look at the monster in the carrier and fled the room... Silly hid

A while ago, just a few weeks to my memory, I got a PO Box.  Paid for
6 months.
I kept telling myself I'd check it soon, but hadn't.
Well.  I finally got my butt into the post office (just a half mile or
Containment question (long, sorry)10 Feb 2006 18:34 GMT25
I thought I'd throw this problem out to the group, as you all seem to be
so very clever with your animals.
I live in a second floor apartment, with windows on all sides and an
enclosed back porch.  (If you're familiar with Chicago two-flats, you
A tiny Tuxedo!10 Feb 2006 17:31 GMT2
Persia was growling, but not yowling, so I went to see what was going on.
She was peering out the glass patio doors at this tiny tuxedo cat!  Pretty
little thing with a black & white face, a white bib and long white socks.
Couldn't have been more than 6 months old.  Persia was a bit ...
The adventures of Patty's octopus10 Feb 2006 17:18 GMT9
A couple of years ago I bought a cat toy from the grocery store.
It looked kind of like an octopus, with a fuzzy ball and then
8 legs coming out of the bottom.  They came in 2 different colors,
with this particular one being red and white.
The cats love me today10 Feb 2006 15:20 GMT2
I had put the container of catnip away, since all four cats had
expressed interest in ripping the lid off and going wild. So I stored
it in the dresser drawer where I also keep my shorts and t-shirt for
the evening.

In the apartment building behind mine lives a large tuxedo boy named
Zeus. His white muzzle is centered perfectly on his black face, making
him a very pretty cat. He loves to snooze on the back stairs, in the
sun. When I see him from my kitchen, I call out the window, but other

So many anecdotes, so little time.
Shmogg, IBKFergus, Fluffy, Cary & Joel continue to interact with each other
and me in amusing, amazing and awe-inspiring ways, and I wish I had the time
to share them all with you. I'm writing the incidents down in note form in

Joy! I can see cats!09 Feb 2006 16:34 GMT2
For ages now I have grumbled that photopages from Community Webshots
can't get past my filter and so I have never seen Stinky or Bagheera or
Snoopy amongst others. Today for some reason I can! And they are all
lovely especially (sorry to the other two you are also cuties!)
Countdown to new cat?09 Feb 2006 12:02 GMT7
Since Fizz went to the RB, we've been keeping an eye on Mithu to see
how he would adjust.  Pippin is no doubt happier: he spends more time
inside, spends more time with us, appears to be gaining some weight,
etc.  But he still goes Out, leaving Mithu "alone" with DH, who works
catboxing caught in action09 Feb 2006 03:24 GMT14
One night I was sitting at my computer and I looked over and the girls
were having a catboxing match in slow-motion. They were sitting in
their respective boxes with their paw in the air and their ears back,
and every so often they'd bat at each other and one of them would
