| The Amazing New Toy | 24 Jan 2006 19:47 GMT | 4 |
I was talking on the phone today, and absent-mindedly wadded a piece of aluminum foil in a tight, tight, ball. A bit small than a golf ball. Tossed it to one of the cats, and I swear, I never saw any toy I ever bought get so much attention. They *all* played with like they've never

| Zoomies | 24 Jan 2006 16:25 GMT | 7 |
Baggy has got the zoomies at the moment, he's making me laugh out loud. He keeps rushing from room to room, pouncing on his toys and giving little chirps. Every few minutes he stops to have a quick wash. He's such a happy boy. :-)

| Fez likes my belt | 24 Jan 2006 16:06 GMT | 3 |
Fez really, really likes my brown leather bealt. How much does he like it you mean? Well, enough to chew it whenever he gets a chance. He doesn't do this to any other belt, just this one brown one. Yesteray I was wearing the belt and sitting down watching TV. Fez jumped behind me ...

| Smokey been a BAAAD kitty! And a mini-update on the kittens.... | 24 Jan 2006 15:28 GMT | 8 |
Aaaargh!!!! DH & I had just finished watching a DVD, and I looked to my left, where Smokey was sitting near the front door, staring right at me. Then I noticed that she was sitting oddly, with her back to the door and her behind not

| Murphy's Mothers Laws | 24 Jan 2006 15:08 GMT | 7 |
Murphy's Mothers Laws Mothers only offer advice on two occasions: when you want it and when you don't.. A mother's love is a better cure than chicken soup, but chicken

| Kenzie pics | 24 Jan 2006 14:13 GMT | 9 |
I posted 2 pics of Kenzie on alt.binaries.pictures.animals. One is quite a nice picture; I wish it scanned better, though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Life without cats would be only marginally worth living."

| Jet update | 24 Jan 2006 11:00 GMT | 18 |
Today DH and I met Jet at Yowie's parents' place and decided to bring him home. He has the sweetest personality and seems to purr every time one of us pays him attention. His purr sounds like a steam train at rest - a gentle chuffing sound.

| Return from the half-dead + pictures | 24 Jan 2006 07:32 GMT | 21 |
I've been feeling awful (the tooth extraction wasn't such a simple thing as I thought at first) and not up to posting, so have to send blanket purrs all around. We've been snowed in here in Helsinki, with temps at -20 C (-5 F) with wind chill to match. Up north, they are having ...

| Night time navigation | 24 Jan 2006 04:38 GMT | 5 |
LB and I mostly navigate our house at night without turning on any lights. Sometimes that leads to unpleasant discoveries, like cold used catfood squishing between toes. It mostly _doesn't_ result in flat cats since Rocky and Gazelle have figured out that we don't see them on a dark ...

| Few pics of the guys | 24 Jan 2006 04:30 GMT | 7 |
Saw my mom today and she gave me the beds she made for the kitties. One was small (they tend to really shrink when felted) but they didn't care about that. I think cats like small things to squeeze into.

Tak, how is Betty doing these days? When is her next treatment? Has the last treatment had lasting effects?

| Weird weather | 24 Jan 2006 02:37 GMT | 26 |
What is going on with the weather worldwide? While Russia suffers the coldest winter in decades, we are having an early spring here in central Texas. Trees are blooming, birds are singing, people are wearing shorts... what the heck is going on?

| Relaxing Sunday | 23 Jan 2006 21:39 GMT | 2 |
As I speak, Little Boy is giving Little Feet what is turning into a daily grooming. Apparently the integration is going well. We haven't had any luck locating Little Boy's original people (which may be just as well - he seems to spook sometimes, in ways that
