I was just wondering if you'd heard about that veterinary assistant job
you went for?  I know you were going for an interview before Christmas,
but I can't remember seeing a post about how it went.

Armed men steal cat05 Jan 2006 18:04 GMT19
Now this is really weird. A couple of men in Dallas (just up the road
from my dad's house!) stole a cat at gunpoint! No money was taken -
just the cat.

Getting things into perspective05 Jan 2006 16:27 GMT4
It's nice to be back. The furballs had a splendid Xmas, Sarrasine
unwrapped her own Xmas present 2 days before the big one. She didn't
manage to get the toy off the backing through so she threw it in my lap
for me to do it! Redunzel got her own roll of toilet paper when we had
New toys on the way05 Jan 2006 09:54 GMT10
Having demolished all his old toys, Otis decided it would be fun to
play football with a hazelnut over Christmas.  I decided it was time
the poor old thing got some new ones, so I've just ordered some up, has
anyone got a "thing in a bag"?  I've ordered one, I hope it's as much

Window Emergency Decal05 Jan 2006 03:14 GMT10
Living a couple of blocks from the fire department has reminded me to
put a decal in the window by the front door to alert emergency that
there are 4 furry family members in the house.
Here's what I made: (found the vinyl decal material that lets you
Cat in the bedroom, first time ever05 Jan 2006 03:00 GMT21
I've been having a bit of a problem with pain in my back when I wake up in
the morning, so much so that it hurts enough to make it difficult for me to
get out of bed.  I wondered if it might be my bed, which is probably due for
replacement.
Bring those Back05 Jan 2006 02:52 GMT5
Sorry but real life has been overwhelming at the moment so I will have
to send blanket purrs to all who need them.
Catnipped I can't email you at moment but wanted to tell you that all I
told you about is happening now and going very smoothly! Thanks!
Sick as a dog (OT)05 Jan 2006 02:12 GMT11
No offense to dogs :)  I was supposed to start classes today to gear up for
taking the insurance license exam my dad has been pushing me to do.  I held
a license from 1984 - 1991 but never actually used it for anything; it was
just a perk offered by my then employer.  I was sick all ...
Little Theif!!!05 Jan 2006 01:47 GMT5
I think Jessie knows that the grandchildren and grandd*gs will be leaving
tomorrow to go home and rebuild - and she's doing something about it!!!
I was walking out of my office, through my garage, to go upstairs and get
some coffee this morning, when I saw her carrying Gypsy's ...

My cat is aggressive: could she be in heat?04 Jan 2006 21:47 GMT5
Can anyone tell me if females in heat become more aggressive?  I'm
taking care of a 1yr old female whose spay status is unknown...  She
came to me 2 months ago starving thin and has been gaining weight.
This week she has been *very* vocal, energetic, and playful, but during
Angelic cats04 Jan 2006 21:00 GMT6
I took the cats in for their ringworm test today. They were little
angels on the bus! Never a peep out of either one. Caliban looked at
everything and everyone around him and was too fascinated with the
outside world to mind, and Miranda settled down with a determined look
