My "right-pawed" Persia06 Jan 2006 21:54 GMT7
I've noticed something about her that makes me wonder, are cats and dogs
predominently either right or left pawed?  When Persia wants to tap me or
just stretch out a paw to touch me it's always with her right paw.  *Always*
Have you noticed such behavior with your furr-balls?
Blue Xmas06 Jan 2006 20:51 GMT33
I spent Xmas Eve at my sister's, with her family (niece, nephew, BIL),
my other sister, our Mum, and my sister's FIL and sister-IL. And the
three Russian Blues, Kasper, Kira (Miranda's mum) and Emil (Miranda's
brofur). Emil was with us the whole time, very friendly, sociable and
Job purrs anyone?06 Jan 2006 20:45 GMT18
As everyone who reads this list knows I spent a lot of last year trying
to get a new job away from the insanities of this place and my
psychopathic co-worker to no avail. Now I've seen a job I would really
like- I could walk to work!
Purrs and prayers for all who need them06 Jan 2006 18:43 GMT3
I'm sorry I can't reply to all individually who are in need as I like to if
I can, but I feel too..sort of..tired and poorly to bring up all the posts
to reply to.  I am trying to read the posts as much as I can.
Special purrs for all cats and hoomins who are ill.  May you return ...
Anyone want a kitten? ;o)06 Jan 2006 18:01 GMT14
It seems that the house has become infested by a particularly nasty
batch of kitten greeblings that only Lily, as a kitten, is able to see.
She's driving us all NUTS trying to kill them single pawed.... and I
really didn't realise that my computer and study were so badly infested!
May I have purrs for a dear friend's cat?06 Jan 2006 17:41 GMT25
My dear friend KK in Indiana e-mailed me that her baby Adolph is not
well.  He is not eating, had a fever of 104, was hospitalized, and is
being given fluids and force-fed :-(  The vet thinks it may be
pancreatitis, but is not sure.

Cherry Hill, NJ is near where I live, so this particular kitty's story was
on our local news. He's a pretty little furball who survived a 70-mile
ride clinging to the underside of an SUV. (The driver had no idea her

Eli has the sniffles06 Jan 2006 06:08 GMT14
Some purrs for Eli would be appreciated. He's been sniffling and
sneezing since last night and is staying in the house today.
Thanks.

A Needy Siamese Cat06 Jan 2006 02:23 GMT12
Siamese cats are not by nature a needy animal.  They are aloof.  Masters of
all they survey.  They may permit scritches if it makes us happy and they
may even share the occasional purr.  Physical closeness is also permitted
and everyone knows shared body heat is a good thing.
The grey rocket kitten06 Jan 2006 02:11 GMT10
Ranger and I have had a couple of interesting encounters in the last
couple days. New Year's Eve I was taking a nice, hot bath (real party
animal, that was the high point of my night). Ranger did as he always
does, came up on the edge of the tub to explore and try to figure out why

What am I going to do with this boy?? Rhett is still obsessed with
the darn thing. I had to replace my old one because apparently it did
suffer a crack from when he knocked it off the table. Tonight the new
one leaked all over and I think it's due to the water container being

Purrs for my Dad05 Jan 2006 21:20 GMT27
Dad called.  He has a lump in his groin and his oncologist will be
performing a biopsy in the morning.  Dad is already a 3 year lymphoma
survivor but those lumps were akin to male breast cancer, being in the lymph
nodes under his arm.  On top of that he had femoral bypass surgery to ...
