Purrs for those who need them... :o)07 Jan 2006 22:00 GMT1
I have 2 cats (Cleo and Lily) meatloafing on my desk. They would both
like everyone to know that they are currently purring and meatloafing
for anyone who needs it.
Me, OTOH, could do with them meatloafing somewhere else. I'm trying to
My Fight With a Friend Last Night [Not OT]07 Jan 2006 16:03 GMT90
I may have ended a 45 year friendship last night.  I'm talking about a woman
who has been my best friend since the 5th grade - we've been through
*everything* together.  She lives in Mandeville, LA now, and I live in
Houston, TX, but until I moved to Houston in 1991 we were ...
The Mighty Mouser Roadcat07 Jan 2006 12:02 GMT23
This morning we got up at an ungodly early hour to deliver to a couple
Costco stores. Once we finished we got assigned a load that picked up in
Aurora, CO and delivers in Salt Lake City - on Monday. We picked up the
new load, went to the truck stop in Aurora for fuel, and since ...
Some Purrs for Pan, Please07 Jan 2006 11:46 GMT47
Well, I took Pan to the Vet yesterday for what I thought would be a
basic bloodtest to check his medication levels.  The vet came out of
the back shortly after and said he had Pan on subcutaneous fluid as he
was dehydrated, but also said he feared Pan's kidneys are failing. More
Please could my dad have some purrs?07 Jan 2006 10:27 GMT19
Please could my dad have some purrs today? He will be having a
particularly shitty day at work, as he has been tasked by his superiors
to undertake a particularly distasteful task that he feels very, very
badly about, but has no choice in undertaking it.
Story of Tabby cat's M on forehead07 Jan 2006 10:04 GMT2
Found these 3 different versions of why tabby cats have an M on their
forehead.  Of course, the last is my favorite.  :-}

Kitten Farts...07 Jan 2006 06:07 GMT22
Lily got into my thai stir fry this evening. I put it down on the table
whilst I went and got a beer from the kitchen, and came back to find her
getting well and truly stuck in.
My GOD!!! I *NEVER* knew that Thai spices could make a kittens backside
Hear the lonesome whiperwill...07 Jan 2006 04:43 GMT2
He sounds too blue to fly
The midnight train is whining low
I'm so lonesome I could cry
I've never seen a night so long
Purrs for a friend to find a kitten to give a forever home to07 Jan 2006 03:14 GMT4
My daughter's sitter, a very nice lady down the hall from me asked me to
keep an ear out for a boy kitten for her.  I've found a possible one am
just waiting to hear back from the lady whether the kitten is still
available or not
Tyler Update -- Much better!07 Jan 2006 03:08 GMT7
He's not coughing now .. Vet prescribed Prednisone for the cough .. said
lungs sounded good.
Not throwing up, eating normal food.  The PURRS worked great!
Thanks to everyone for their words of encouragement, etc.  MEOW!!!
Digger07 Jan 2006 03:02 GMT33
Digger is still favoring his left paw, so I made an appointment for him to
see the vet at 11:30AM CST today.  Purrs for the puppy would be greatly
appreciated.  I'll let  you know what the vet said when we get back.
eating spurts06 Jan 2006 22:44 GMT1
do your cats go through eating spurts?  Mine would not eat canned food
for weeks and then all of a sudden they can't get enough of it.  They
scarf down the entire bowl within hours.
They are 10 years old and I still don't have them figured out.
Eli Update06 Jan 2006 22:32 GMT2
He's still sniffling and sneezing, but he is eating and his mouth is mostly
closed. He slept right next to me all night. Now he is in front of a window
absorbing sunlight.
Thanks to all who've been purring for him to feel better. I think he's
I could use some purrs06 Jan 2006 22:09 GMT22

this morning. Early in the morning one of the servers I'm responsible for
got sick so I was tied up until time to leave for the doc fixing it. Was
almost at doc's office when office paged, other server now ...
