Smokey knows a word09 Jan 2006 01:46 GMT6
We were talking about what we wanted to buy at the farmers' market
tomorrow and as soon as Dylan spoke the holy word "ham", Smokey was up
off the couch, across the living room and into the kitchen.
Dylan, sadly, was in the kitchen eating carrots.  Smokey was most

Sesame spent a day with TED last week and has been pretty quiet ever since.
She was having her blood pressure taken, and last time they took it they had
a lot of trouble finding a pulse so they asked us to leave her there for the
day this time. She seemed a bit stressed out after ...
Can a (mostly) lurker request some purrs?08 Jan 2006 23:15 GMT23
First, please allow me to introduce myself.  I'm a Bostonian who shares a
1-bedroom condo with a 15-year-old orange and white Japanese Bobtail named
Peter.  That's us in Allston, MA, on the RPCA map.  Peter adopted me 14
years ago after his previous owners dumped him at the MSPCA ...
Hobbes Update08 Jan 2006 22:37 GMT8
First let me apologize in advance for not responding to the replies I
received about Hobbes potential diabetes. I was ... well, it doesn't
matter... I should have replied.  Thank you all for the purrs and the
advice. The very day it was suggested that Hobbes might have diabetes ...
Ping: NMR08 Jan 2006 22:15 GMT77
Could you possibly start bottom-posting and trimming out text from the
original posts & replies which you deem irrelevant to yours?  I've scrolled
past your top-posts many times looking for what you have to say, only to
realize oh that's right, it's at the top :)

Poll - You wanna be on top or on the bottom08 Jan 2006 12:51 GMT3
top posting is far superior IMO
why?
it's more practical it requires little to no scrolling
like DanG said, top posted for your convenience
[FOOD]  Tim Tams08 Jan 2006 10:08 GMT22
Someone put a few boxes in the office kitchen today, so I've finally
tasted them.  They're yummy!
They also posted directions for a Tim Tam Slam, but I didn't try.  I
needed my warm beverage a little faster than that this morning =)
Massive monster migraine :( :(08 Jan 2006 07:58 GMT80
My New Year gift?  Woke up with a head so big and pain filled, you'd think I
had really tied one on last night. But no, I stayed home with the furballs
and didn't have a drop of alcohol. There were eight deers in the yard at
dusk, maybe it's their fault, cuz I stared at them and ...
Can't Keep Up08 Jan 2006 05:38 GMT3
I miss *one* day and it's impossible to keep up.  So, blanket purrs
going out for all who need them.
We have sick kitties here :-(  Trill has a URI, and Kate threw up for
the first time last night.  I think she's okay, but we'll have to keep

Naptime with Little Boy08 Jan 2006 03:33 GMT1
Little Boy has been noticing that Little Feet likes to cuddle with me,
so he has decided to get in on the act.
Now, I had been up all night on Thursday, and managed to get maybe two
hours of sleep. I sleep-walked through the day Friday. When I got
"Duma": a must-see for all cat lovers08 Jan 2006 01:21 GMT5
Just saw a wonderful, adorable, charming, really terrific movie. "Duma",
about a South African boy who adopts an orphaned cheetah cub. The cheetah
grows up with the family and becomes their pet. They live on a farm, so
he's outdoors most of the time, but really, he's more ...
top or bottom post08 Jan 2006 01:12 GMT1
I don't care if any one post on the top or bottom. I think the confusion can
be if you top post and it has no space between the new post and what was
said before. Maybe leaving a space at the bottom of the new post to seperate
it from what was said before would help.
