BREAKTHROUGH!12 Jan 2006 10:01 GMT38
Miss Chloe and Miss Pua have finally called a truce!  I was sitting in bed,
reading, this morning, with Miss Chloe sitting next to me.  Since Miss Pua
can't be anywhere but in the same room with me, of COURSE she jumped on the
bed.  There was some crouching going on between both, ...
RB Purrs for D*g Request12 Jan 2006 09:59 GMT7
We just got a message from Ben's mom that Houdini escaped from his Aunt
Lucy's yard and was hit by a car and killed last night.  I feel *SO* bad for
her!  :<
Oscar keeps getting more approachable ...12 Jan 2006 08:25 GMT5
In the last two days, two amazing things have happened:
1) DH was able to pet Oscar's belly, and not only did she not attack him
-- she actually purred!  This only happened once or twice; most of the
time, she still goes into tooth and claw mode.  Still, quite impressive!

Purrs needed for Sasha12 Jan 2006 03:32 GMT23
Sasha is at the vets right now for testing. Her eating habits have
been deteriorating for the past couple days. Last night she pretty
much refused canned food but has been drinking a lot of water. She is
over 5 years old so vet is testing for diabetes, kidney failure and
Thanks to Whomever -12 Jan 2006 02:52 GMT6
Someone mentioned Pill Pockets a while back.  My thanks to whomever
posted that (sorry, I don't recall who did).  Our Hobo is due for a
teeth cleaning Friday and because of his age and condition, he has to
get antibiotics for three days prior.  Because he is allergic to
Happy Nocturnniversary12 Jan 2006 00:54 GMT13
That's right, four years ago today we brought home UNE NOCTURNE.
It started on January 8, 2002.  We'd seen an ad in our building seeking
a home for a kitten found abandoned in the hallway--but when we
answered it, we found out that the kitten in question hadn't been
I'm so proud of her!11 Jan 2006 22:50 GMT3
Thunderstorms, major rain, booming and banging outside and Persia is *not*
hiding in the closet or under the bed!  She's usually so terrified at the
slightest hint of thunder... sometimes she mistakes the sound of the trash
men emptying the plastic cans for thunder and gets this ...
RIP Spice11 Jan 2006 22:44 GMT20
My sister is heartbroken.  Her sweet 14-year old tabby cat was put to
sleep last night.  She had had several strokes recently and was very
wobbly.  I don't know yet what precipitated last night's events, my
sister was too distraught to say, but I know she's done her best to
I'm back from the Philippines.11 Jan 2006 21:42 GMT7
Hi group,
Just a quick message to let you know that Mia and I are back from our 5-week
vacation to Malaysia & Philippines. We had a wonderful time, but I missed my
cats. I won't be going away for so long again.
RPCA'rs Hi Ya'll 11 Jan 2006 20:32 GMT10
I know I haven't been too active in the group lately, but I love you
all and all of your fantastic feline's dearly.
My husband, myself, our daughter, her fiance, and our grandson, along
with all 9 of our kitty cats, and the future son in law's little black

cybercat is toast.
This is clearly unconstitutional but that means nothing nowadays....if
this doesn't get the f.cker impeached, I don't know what will.

Memphis and Phoenix11 Jan 2006 15:14 GMT6
I think the pair of them have the new year zoomies! We bought a sheepskin
rug at a boot sale, thinking they may like to cuddle up on it. After
ingoring it and refusing to even walk on it for a month, Phoenix decided to
be brave and get on it. Then attack it. Then tear it to ...
Miranda's new fave food11 Jan 2006 15:12 GMT10
Since I will only have one functional upper front tooth for a couple of
weeks ahead, I've been looking around for something I can eat. I can't
bite off a sandwich, so my usual breakfast food is out. Then I thought
of croissants. I don't have to bite down on one, I can rip off ...

It's a beautiful, spring-like day here in Houston, so we opened all the
windows today to air out the house.*  All the masters, except Bandit, took
the opportunity to laze around in open windows and sunbeams.
