Shake your head no!15 Jan 2006 23:52 GMT6
When playing with Little Boy, he often gets a little excited and
forgets himself. Sometimes he tries to bite.
When that happens, I pull my hand back, pick him up, kiss him on the
nose and say, "Do we like biting? Shake your head no!" And shake my

And I want to apologize before I do it here.
My mom told me the doctors told her something they didn't tell my dad, but
she couldn't talk about it because he was in the room when we were on the
phone.  No excuse, I know, but still.  I apologize in advance if I've

I'm hot, sweaty, irritated with my family and a little weary.  So

Purrs for a friend's mother15 Jan 2006 19:30 GMT13
My friend Julianne's mother has had a recent, very serious cancer
diagnosis, and her first chemotherapy treatment put her white blood
cell count at zero. She's been taken to rehab to build up some physical
strength before trying more chemo.  Her prognosis is three to six
Purrs for roadside kitty15 Jan 2006 18:42 GMT7
I just picked up a dead beautiful tabby cat from the street and put him
on the side of the road. He seemed to have had a quick death, for that I
am thankful.
Purrs for a peaceful transition to the RB.
Handmade felted wool cat bad15 Jan 2006 18:21 GMT32
Well, after the first attempt at one of those knitted cat beds, my
mom got frustrated with trying to felt it. It wouldn't felt! She
wrote to the owner of that web site that was mentioned here, and
she recommended a brand of wool for it. She said the knitting part

Eli got well but now Billy is sick15 Jan 2006 15:58 GMT14
He seems to have caught Eli's cold but is not as bad off.
I've been way too busy lately to keep up with this NG but am reading what I
can and sending purrs out as needed.
Thanks15 Jan 2006 12:31 GMT25
A couple of months ago I posted, asking for suggestions for a gift to send
an Englishman.  Someone suggested an indoor/outdoor thermometer.  I bought
one, and it was a big success.  He has mentioned it many times.  After I had
wrapped it, I realized that we use Fahrenheit and they ...
Beanbag bed15 Jan 2006 11:11 GMT16
I just heard a sort of crunching noise from the next room.  It was Kitty FC
slightly moving her position on the beanbag bed next to the fire.
She *does* love it,  I knew she would eventually.  Beanbag beds are ideal
for old pets, they are warm and provide support whatever position ...
Purrs for a friend15 Jan 2006 03:29 GMT8
As you know, the company I work for is undergoing changes. My best
friend found out yesterday that her job is being dissolved. Her
mother just broke her hip the day before Christmas, and is in a rehab
until she can walk again. Her mother moved down here last summer
Finding New Aide (not Joanne) Purss Needed15 Jan 2006 03:25 GMT21
I had an Aide chew me out and quit today. We had a disagreement nearly two
weeks ago, but I thought we'd resolved things. She picked up her paycheck,
chewd me out, slammed down her key and stomped out. She worked alternate
weekends so that Joanne could have some time off.
Cat Beats Up Pit Bull?14 Jan 2006 23:33 GMT17
Arrgh! This is the headline for the teaser on the news page.
Unfortunately, it isn't text, it is a film cliip and this $#@@ dial-up
is too slow, it won't play. I googled news, but nothing came up.
Has anybody heard about this one?
Thing in a Bag14 Jan 2006 23:23 GMT14
Got it yesterday, and as predicted (wish I'd asked here first) - he's
not in the least bit interested in it, what a waste of money.
Yesterday when I got it he'd jump every time it moved, but today he
completely ignored it, even though it was moving around the
No possibility14 Jan 2006 22:21 GMT3
Of ever catching up with posts.  I now have 956 unread <swoon>
It's just not possible to keep up now I work.
*So* I'll have to send block purrs and prayers.  My first go to kitties and
humans that are ill at the moment.  Being ill is just the worst thing as I
