| Poor little Minnie-girl | 25 Dec 2005 17:19 GMT | 13 |
You might remember Minnie, the indoor-outdoor former stray kitty who lives downstairs from us. She was a stray who was hanging around our building scrounging food where she could, and one day she walked in the open door of an apartment with a pair of kittens in her mouth and

| best Christmas present | 25 Dec 2005 17:12 GMT | 4 |
DH has spent the better part of a week labouring on a Christmas present for me; he has made me and the kits a cat-tree. It's FABULOUS - about 2.5 (7-8 foot) tall, covered in carpet and sisal with bits sticking out to the side for cats to climb on, sleep on, and ambush

The Chigger Ranch Crew (Tiger, Casper and Lucy) have instructed me to wish each and every one of you, furred and otherwise, a very merry holiday season! The crew has retired to rest after "helping" open the presents and playing with the ribbon, crunchy paper and the catnip

| Abelard is home, safe, in his bed | 25 Dec 2005 16:19 GMT | 20 |
He was in his bed when I got up and must have been out late because he's still sleeping. I didn't want to disturb him and yet was concerned about his tail so I waited until he shifted around to where I could feel it without picking him up. He was less concerned about it being ...

| Abelard chose the meatless option | 25 Dec 2005 11:41 GMT | 26 |
Opened a can of the kitties' favortie gooshy food as I was finishing my own lunch preparations, so we could all eat together. But when Abelard saw my veggie-burger, he would not touch the meaty stuff in his own dish, and started begging me to share my lunch. He hoovered up half a ...

| Tippity-tap | 25 Dec 2005 11:41 GMT | 5 |
This morning Persia decided to play a game with me I call 'tippity-tap'. This is a relatively new invention of hers. I was still dozing. She was next to me, facing me, purring. She'd reach out and gently tap my nose with her paw. I'd open my eyes to find her big green eyes ...

| My nose is sore | 25 Dec 2005 06:23 GMT | 7 |
Nanki-Poo was lying on my lap, bathing. Very thoroughly. After several minutes, I pulled him a little closer and suggested he stop bathing and start snuggling. He snuggled for about a minute, then began bathing again. Only this time, it was my nose he was bathing. Boy, is that ...

Meowmie hasn't taken us to TED yet, but i have this feeling she will soon. She always goes away this time of year and abandons us. But it is strange she has not left yet. since it is Xmas eve we normally are at TED's by now.

| A Lesson for Kayla | 24 Dec 2005 22:44 GMT | 8 |
Our pup just learned a lesson that will serve her well. Maybe the cat can get away from you when he wants to. But there is no where for you to go when he's had enough and comes after you. Jo

| TED visit report + more | 24 Dec 2005 22:00 GMT | 4 |
We just got back from Mountain Grove. Baby Eyes and me, that is. When Abelard didn't show up I grabbed Baby Eyes off my bed and took her along so as not to waste the appointment. Abelard still hasn't shown up, so I'll have to take him in Monday, but even TED did not see him, from ...
