Forget gifts for anyone else. I got the cats (all nine of them) their
catnip pillows from Cat Welfare today.  That's all that matters ;-)

Purrs for the Working Dog19 Dec 2005 22:30 GMT19
This happend a few days ago, I haven't had time to post much.
The OKC police, after a long chase, finally forced a car to stop on an
overpass. You all know how high those things are. The suspect ran out
of the car, and jumped off. The police dog had taken off after him, and
New scratching post dissed19 Dec 2005 18:12 GMT40
Kitty FC sometimes scratches at the arm of my settee, the upright part, and
she always gets her claws caught.  This is not fun for either of us when I
try to get her free.
So, imagine my surprise when I went into my local thrift shop near my
I'm really disturbed (OT)19 Dec 2005 17:53 GMT5
This woman I've known for almost 10 years is absolutely a nutcase.  One
minute she likes you, the next minute she doesn't.  Sometimes she's all
"hell yes!" other times she agrees with you then turns around and bashes you
to other people both publicly and privately.  I need to turn ...
"Cat-Proof Christmas Tree!"19 Dec 2005 16:51 GMT3
How to "Cat-Proof" Your Christmas Tree
1. Buy a cardboard box big enough to hold the tree. Paint it red and
yellow. Paste pictures of cats playing with toys on the box. Write
phrases on the box like: "Giant very expensive cat toy." "Your cat
Cards, cards, and more cards.19 Dec 2005 16:05 GMT10
And I just love it.  Every day the mail brings more cards from all over the
world.  I'm amazed at some of the hand made ones.  And I enjoy each and
every card.
I'm quite proud of myself.  I finally got all my cards into the mail this
Purrs (or tail-wags) for missing dog?19 Dec 2005 13:58 GMT11
Thank you, everyone, for your purrs and good wishes that Billy, my
two friends' dog, be found soon. I have no news as yet.
The sad thing about this is that Billy was a stray who showed up in
their back yard. They tried to find his original owners, but nobody

Baarmy Sheep Xmas19 Dec 2005 11:01 GMT10
As a New Zealander  in the land of the sheep I am ashamed that we didn't
think of this first.

Holiday cards, or the lack thereof19 Dec 2005 10:53 GMT14
Every year, I promise myself that, like the car registration, and the
Christmas Shopping, I'll get the Christmas Cards done early to avoid the
stress at crunch time.
Yesterday, I finsihed all the Christmas shopping I could (one gift to go
Our Trip to Sydney Australia - Day 119 Dec 2005 10:31 GMT5
I can't do our trip justice tonight because it is late and I'm getting
sleepy. But I thought I'd post a day at a time to share with you. I'll try
to post pictures within 24 hours of each installment so you can see what we
were up to.
Want to torture your cat?19 Dec 2005 09:13 GMT1
Make a chicken pot pie.  Ooooh!  Chicken!  Persia was winding around my legs
as I put it together and she normally doesn't do that.  But it was like a
magnet... oooh, mommy!  It's da CHIK-EN!  Thankfully, she doesn't jump on
the kitchen counters or I'd have had to thwack her with a ...
My Mattie, My Rock19 Dec 2005 07:03 GMT13
I swear this cat has more control over her personal mass than any other
cat I've ever known.  Her preferred sleeping spot is on my side -
whichever one is up.  She isn't really a big thing and she makes herself
fit just perfectly so I don't even notice her while I sleep.  But ...

Territorial Issues19 Dec 2005 05:32 GMT6
As Djoser gets older he is getting more territorial and possessive.
Even though he gets along well with Robin, he thinks Robin's territory
is Jeff's room. And Sheba belongs in the kitchen/dining/office room.
She has taken to sleeping in my chair at night; but often sneaks onto
