pics: Oscar on her cat tree23 Dec 2005 01:35 GMT19
I was practicing my forms (martial arts) yesterday when I noticed
Oscar playing with her chili pepper (a fuzzy toy that can be stuffed
with 'nip, although I haven't done so recently) on her tree.
Naturally, as soon as I went to get the camera, she got interested in
[Not entirely OT] Wow, just WOW!23 Dec 2005 00:26 GMT1
This news article contains a piece of the tape this 65-year-old man took
from the second story of his home as it was flooded by Katrina.  He and his
cat stayed and filmed the whole thing.

Some of ya'll may remember Mutt23 Dec 2005 00:06 GMT17
Around 9:30 last night Mutt was running with her toy and immediately stopped
coming to us in the bedroom. She had lost the ability to walk on her back
leg. It's not flimsy or useless, but she is holding it up and hobbling.
I'm a wreck. I've been up crying all night since then. ...
It's winter in Thailand - OT23 Dec 2005 00:00 GMT38
And I'm loving it!  It's one of the coldest winters since we've lived
here.  It goes down to 19C at night and not above 25C during the day.
All the muggy humidity is gone and my skin is not sticky.  I'm able to
wear real clothes around the house instead of short shorts and a ...
Sammy's Favorite Spot...22 Dec 2005 23:52 GMT8
... shrunk and got too small for her.
Since I broke my camera, I had to ask my son to bring back my old camera
he's [permanently] "borrowed" from me!  ;>  It seems terribly clunky
compared to the one that's broken, but it still seems to get the job done.
Still Toe Sucking22 Dec 2005 22:52 GMT2
Sammy still likes to get on Mommy's lap for a good toe sucking session -
Mommy's flabby belly is *SO* nice for kneading!  ;>

Holiday cards22 Dec 2005 21:46 GMT1
Many apologies to anyone who I haven't sent one to up till now.  I really
did want to send to all but I've run out of energy.
I tend to believe I am more well than I am and can do more than I really
can.

Poor neglected Sammy22 Dec 2005 16:20 GMT8
For the past hour or so I've been sitting here glued to the 'puter.
Starting a half hour ago Sammy has been trying everything to get my
attention. Hopping up in front of the monitor got her a few scritches,
but obviously wasn't what she was after. She jumped down and started

Apologies to two RPCA people22 Dec 2005 14:45 GMT1
Yesterday, i sent off all my Christmas cards after learning how to mail
merge in MSword. I printed all the addresses off onto one large sheet of
sticky paper, cut them all up and dilligently peeled and stuck said labels
onto all 94 envelopes.

I told you I'd let you know when we're going to race in Sebring in case
you and Katie would like to drive over.  We'll be there the weekend of
January 7 and 8.

Holy Bowl!22 Dec 2005 12:33 GMT39
Ever since Miranda joined the family, I've kept the lid shut on the
toilet bowl to keep out curious little kitties. Today, I decided to see
what would happen if I left it open. Caliban is always veeery interested
in what happens in the toilet (we'll not get into details - let me ...
An Extraordinay Film!22 Dec 2005 11:17 GMT4
Finally got "March of the Penguins".  *Excellent* film.
To those who were hesitating watching it because of the cruelty of nature -
it wasn't that bad, no bloody predator gorging scenes.  There were losses,
as there are in nature, and it was sad, but I am normally very ...
Pan Is Home!22 Dec 2005 07:58 GMT16
And evidently, he's not quite ready to check out of the Hotel de Vie
quite yet.  =o) He cussed me out all the way home, when he wasn't
busily rubbing his muzzle against my finger, thrust into an airhole of
his carrying case.  He's also been grumping at the girls, and giving me
