Surfacing for a moment.... (long)14 Nov 2005 13:57 GMT14
I'm sorry for having been gone for awhile but Real Life has just been so
intense that I may just be checking in and out when I can.
Have had on-going crises with my mom in Florida and just recently went down
there (timing was poor; it was during Wilma -- got to experience my first
Finn, the big baby...14 Nov 2005 12:37 GMT12
I don't think he knows that he is a cat.  I think he thinks he is a human
baby.  I'm rocking the  human child to sleep and Finn walks in the nursery,
meows, then jumps up on the Boppy with the little man, puts his head under
my chin and sits there and rocks with us.  Alexander ...
WOW!! Thank you everyone!! And another Smudge update14 Nov 2005 07:07 GMT21
WOW!!!! I hardly know what to say!! You folks are utterly amazing!
I'm really stunned. A few days ago I was wondering how in the world I
was going to pay this staggering vet bill (well, it felt staggering
to me, in my current circumstances). But thanks to everyone who has
Peculiar Japanese Video - Taped Cat14 Nov 2005 01:10 GMT17
Watch this peculiar video about how a cat reacts when certain parts of its
body is adorned with a piece of tape. It doesn't appear that this cat is all
too happy with the tape job.

Hugo news??13 Nov 2005 23:14 GMT13
I'm really worried about Hugo. Any news?
Update on the Rubble Family13 Nov 2005 22:39 GMT1
They are *all* eating the kitten food/powdered KMR mushmix that I make for
them now.  We have moved them from the utility room where they were confined
to their large carrier as I didn't want them getting behind/under the
washer/dryer, onto the enclosed back porch (with utility ...
surrounded by wall clouds13 Nov 2005 19:36 GMT3
We're under a severe t'storm warning and tornado watch until 1:00 AM
Central. I went out to look at the sky. It's very still, but I see wall
clouds in all directions, and I'm worried. It's too late at night to disturb
neighbors who have basements.

Will Tyche make it into a pet talent show?
Depends....
Does "picking your nose with your tongue" count as a talent?

Tough marine, my a$$ ;o)13 Nov 2005 09:07 GMT8
Miss Lilly-Whiskers has my brother, a rough, tough marine well and truly
wrapped around her tiny paw. She *ADORES* him, and he *ADORES* her - to
the point he rings me every night to say goodnight to *his kitten* and
she goes nuts over him when she sees him, with kitty kisses and ...
Nice but strange.13 Nov 2005 08:56 GMT12
I've just had a wierd encounter. Nice, but strange. A gentleman just
came to my door, having seen Lilly-Whiskers story in the paper. He had
tracked me down because the paper had printed the street that I live in,
and he had asked a neighbour where I lived, using my photo in the ...
Purrs for my Mum13 Nov 2005 08:09 GMT31
My mother is having hip replacement surgery today.
She's very nervous about it.
If there's any purrs down the back of the lounge or in last year's coat
pockets that you could spare, I'm sure Mum would appreciate them (as would

Hamlet's cat speaks:13 Nov 2005 05:42 GMT4
Hamlet's cat speaks:
To go outside, and there perchance to stay
Or to remain within, that is the question:
Whether 'tis better for a cat to suffer
Angel and Devil Kitties13 Nov 2005 05:00 GMT1
Today's trip to TED with the Bitties reminded me of two dolls I have in
my toy Collection:  Bratz Twiins Phoebe and Roxxi.  The Bratz Twiins
each have contrasting personalities from their sister, and these two
are Phoebe "Sugar" who comes dressed in a T-shirt that says "good girl"
