UPDATE: Purrs, please, for a RPCC kitty24 Oct 2005 13:40 GMT21
Thank you all for the purrs you sent for Miss Violette. Unfortunately the
vet was not able to save her life. Miss Violette began her journey to the
Rainbow Bridge this afternoon.
Purrs for her humans and the rest of her clowder would be appreciated.
Beatrice: Six months old already....24 Oct 2005 11:21 GMT2
My sweet little girl is still tiny - just about the same size as Abelard. I
wonder if she'll get much bigger? I kinda hope she won't, because then
Abelard might feel overwhelmed by her and stop playing with her. She's the
only one he will play with, and he needs to have someone ...
Quick vet visit24 Oct 2005 11:19 GMT15
Baggy has just been to TED for his annual injections. Like many cats, Baggy,
does _not_ like travelling by car, so it's fortunate the vet is only 4 miles
away. Also luckily today we were seen as soon as we arrived, so we were away
from home for less than 30 minutes.
From Helen S24 Oct 2005 11:18 GMT3
Just got an e-mail from Helen S. She is having trouble, or rather
British Telecom are having trouble, and she can't get access to the
group. She sends loads of purrs and good wishes to anyone in need.
Friends cat RB24 Oct 2005 11:17 GMT10
Louie, A friend's cat went to the bridge Wednesday  night. He was found as a
kitten under a shed at a nature center and had a wonderful life with his
slaves. He was 14 years old.

Thanks to Cinder and Rosie, two kittens and a d-pet have a new home.
While we were waiting for Hurricane Rita to make up its mind which way to
go, we had some friends over for an impromptu pre-evacuation potluck.
As it turned out, we were lucky.  Rita took a turn north and we were ...
What will she think of next?24 Oct 2005 07:58 GMT12
The other day, I heard some weird-sounding scratching in the sauna. Then
I heard Miranda yowl. She ran a few laps around the flat, then she was
back in the sauna and I heard the scratching andf the yowl again. Went
to see what was up, and what was up was Miranda!
Who had to light the furnace?24 Oct 2005 03:17 GMT4
Five days ago I had the apartment maintenance guys in to fix my central
air-con.  It was 90F outside and 83F inside (with fans running); I was
sweltering.
When I got up this morning it was 52F, not too bad.  But it's now 48F and I

Green-Eyed Monster :)24 Oct 2005 02:32 GMT4
Persia ignores my bird, Peaches, for the most part.  Except when I pause to
chat with Peaches, offer her a treat of a slice of apple or a piece of
carrot or some greens, or just to tell her what a sweet pretty bird she is
and let her tug on my hair.  Then the green-eyed monster in ...

Demi Close-ups23 Oct 2005 21:42 GMT24
The d-pet is outside enjoying the spectacular 15 minutes of autumn here in
Houston, so Demi ventured out to sit on a windowsill and catch some sun -
and I took the chance to catch some piccies of my gorgeous girl.
Click on the pictures to see the full-sized versions.

Stosh, Master Masseur23 Oct 2005 20:04 GMT2
We've decided that maybe Stosh isn't so much being Oedipal after all. Louie
came in to watch what I thought was the Dance of Love's Longing, and what
Stosh is doing is more like something out of a Warner Brothers cartoon. Ever
seen the ones with the big, brawny bulldog named Marc ...
