Pearl goes in tomorrow to get blood drawn AGAIN. She gets so upset. Any purrs for a calm blood draw and NO bad results highly appreciated.

| Rosie's visit to TED | 25 Oct 2005 19:31 GMT | 5 |
Jim took Rosie to the vet today. Poor thing had impacted anal glands. Jim said she was very good and pushed her head up against his belly to hide and didn't complain while the vet did his business.

While everybody here doesn't celebrate Halloween, I think you all will get a kick out of this. Turn up the sound and enjoy! http://www.liquidgeneration.com/sabotage/pumpkin_carve.asp PatM

| New pics and Otis dental | 25 Oct 2005 16:23 GMT | 17 |
RL is very complicated right now so I have not been replying - just reading, looking at pictures, & sending people my best thoughts. Here are a few new pics of the boys, complete with Otis at the window bird feeder, playing bubbels (my high score), Chester sunning himself outside ...

While not everyone here celebrates Halloween I'd still say you all should get a kick out of this. Turn up the sound and have fun! PatM

| TW: purrs and RB candle request | 25 Oct 2005 15:40 GMT | 6 |
Purrs for this little kitten as he/she makes his or her way to the bridge. As for the person -and I use that term in the loosest way possible - that abandoned the kitten sick, and in the rain - may they at least receive the smelliest litterbox offerings. I hope they are ready

| Another bad Meowmy, I'm so ashamed! | 25 Oct 2005 13:07 GMT | 3 |
Barnabus had a mat in his fur today! I have never had a cat who had mats in their fur. Barnabus as medium length fur. I certainly don't consider him long hair in the way a persian is long hair but apparently the length of his fur and the silky, fine texture is going to give him ...

| A rerun of an oldie but a goodie - The Cats' House tour | 25 Oct 2005 04:02 GMT | 7 |
I know links to The Cats' House have been posted many many times, but I never get tired of looking at what they've done, and what they plan for next. Start here and just keep clicking on the "right cat button" (clever! heehee)

| What's the scoop on anal glands? | 25 Oct 2005 02:16 GMT | 3 |
I've read about impacted anal glands on the group, but what's really going on here/there? What purpose do these glands serve, what kind of juice do they contain, how do they get impacted? Cleo has had a nasty smell since her Spay, which we asked about today when

| D*ggy Grin | 25 Oct 2005 01:55 GMT | 14 |
I mentioned this once before, but finally got a picture. Gypsy, our guest d*ggy for the foreseeable future, has the funniest, sh*t-eating grin whenever she is in trouble (and with b*tchy little Jessie around to beat her up, that seems to be most of the time). Here's a picture

| Full house last night! | 25 Oct 2005 01:44 GMT | 2 |
It was the first cold night of the season, and we had a full house in bed. I think at some point in time, all 7 cats were in bed with us. Or at least it seemed that way, I couldn't move at all! :) I love cold weather.

| Hurricane Wilma, 5am monday morning | 25 Oct 2005 01:15 GMT | 7 |
five am here and i got up because i couldn't sleep... the wind's getting whippy already! I was writing and the power flicked off and on so the puter reset... think it's time to make a quick post just in case we lose power soon. i've been filtering water - you can never

| I don't know what's gotten into her! | 24 Oct 2005 20:14 GMT | 8 |
Persia has been bugging me ALL day and into the night. She hasn't even paused for her usual naps. She's fussing, wanting attention. Getting the zoomies. Looking out the windows and meowing. She's even avoided her normal spot in the closet where the comforter is (and she usually ...

| perineal urethrostomy surgery for cats | 24 Oct 2005 20:13 GMT | 2 |
My cat had PU surgery almost 2yrs ago. It cost about 1,000.00 dollars. However, it was very well worth it. I praise the vets that performed the surgery. It is not one that is done often here, so he had to call in an additional vet for assistance. This did fix his immediate

| Why does daddy torture us so? | 24 Oct 2005 14:43 GMT | 7 |
Rufous here. As official taster of all things edible* in this household, it is my duty to make sure all the food tastes good. So why does daddy Victor buy yummy tuna and salmon, but won't let me taste it? Doesn't he know it has to have my paw of approval? Then he adds yucky stuff ...
