Anyone successful at giving kitty a bath?26 Oct 2005 22:16 GMT9
I take mine to the vet for a bath: they say he sits there with no fuss and
lets them do it.
When I try it, it is holy hell!  I sure would like to find out the secret,
but the vet's

Finn MacCool did spray one more time.  I hope this isn't TMI, but I thought
that where he did it was so funny.  He chose the same toilet the alpha male
(my husband) in the house uses the most.  At least it was easy clean up.
I'm injured AGAIN (OT)26 Oct 2005 21:59 GMT56
Could I ask for a few purrs yet again?   I woke up at 5 a.m. on Friday
morning with the most incredible, almost unbearable pain in my right knee.
It was a "get a painkiller instantly" moment.
It took me 20 minutes to get down the stairs - on my butt - take an
FA: Brand New Pet Door Ultimate by Pet Safe...Cheap'!!!26 Oct 2005 17:37 GMT2
I have up for auction a Brand New Ultimate Pet Door by Petsafe. I paid
over $95 for this item and then realized my dog was too small for this.
And the company refused to take it back.
Here it is:
Let there be light!26 Oct 2005 15:49 GMT4
Mistletoe, resident computer supervisor, has her very own spot on my
computer table.  I take two "bath sheets" (extra large terry towels), fold
them into sixths, then stack them next to the computer processor.  That's
Mistletoe's spot.
JAMA cover26 Oct 2005 15:45 GMT6
We just received the current issue of Journal of American Medical
Association and on the cover is a charming painting titled Black Cat on
a chair.  The artist is listed as Andrew L. von Wittkamp (? - 1897). I
think you can view this painting by going to:
BOX!!26 Oct 2005 15:10 GMT7
Again, there is a new box in the house, and there is quite a Laurel
and Hardy scene going on around it.  Or maybe more like the Three
Stooges-- it's amazing how much like the Three Stooges two cats can
be!

Ranger and the grey snake26 Oct 2005 12:15 GMT6
For the longest time I've been graced with two kitties (Amelia and
Tabitha) who love to wait in the bathroom while I shower, then hop onto my
shoulders and groom my hair while I brush my teeth. Recently the list of
shower-shouldering kitties has grown - now Harri Roadcat and Ranger ...
Purrs for some little cats26 Oct 2005 10:39 GMT15
Tonight when my hubby and I went out to dinner, we saw 2 little orange and
white kits, about 4 to 6 mos of age, looking for food in the dumpster there.
I tried to get close to them, but they wouldn't let me get any closer than
about 20 feet away. I told the restaurant owners about ...
Ten wild turkeys gang up on Billy26 Oct 2005 04:36 GMT3
It's turkey season here in Missouri and many of the locals turkeys are
taking refuge here on the farm. A few minutes ago, I heard MUCH clucking out
back, and looked out the window to see what was going on. Billy was standing
in the midst of ten hens, with his tail all fluffed out ...

Jean Hobbs?26 Oct 2005 01:03 GMT1
Has anyone heard from Jean Hobbs lately? It's quite a while since her heart
operation but I haven't heard any news recently. Is she home yet, or is she
still staying with her daughter?
Hooray Rome!25 Oct 2005 23:52 GMT8
ROME, Italy (Reuters) -- The city of Rome has banned goldfish bowls, which
animal rights activists say are cruel, and has made regular dog-walks
mandatory in the Italian capital, the town's council said on Tuesday.
The classic spherical fish bowls are banned under a new by-law which ...
