Rhymin' likes turkey07 Oct 2005 03:25 GMT6
I heard turkey and, knowing Simon was outside, grabbed the camera.
Turkeys are real sensitive to movement and although I stopped at the
door my next move sent them deeper in the woods.  Simon, however, was
*very* interested and trotted after them:  (Simon is just to the right
Purrs for Sugar07 Oct 2005 02:39 GMT9
Karen responded to Frank going to TED again:
Oh dear   I wish they would stay young forever    Sugar is going back in
a few minutes too. Purrs to Frank and his poor meowmie.
Hobbes, Selena, Lacey, Sam and Barnabus are sending purrs and gentle
Sproing!  Sproing!  Sproing!07 Oct 2005 01:41 GMT6
You know those cartoons where critters have spiral wire springs on
their feet, and they go "Sproing!"
These kittens don't need the springs.  I'm letting them out once in
awhile to play, and they are the sproingiest little things I've ever

Frank's at TED's again07 Oct 2005 01:13 GMT79
I had to take Frank to TED's again, because he has had a runny tummy all
weekend, and he's been vomiting. He's mere skin and bones these days.
I'll post an update when I know more.
What a Nosey Nag Sheba is!07 Oct 2005 00:57 GMT2
When I went grocery shopping, I bought a large bag of chicken leg
quarters. The next day I got the bag out and washed the chicken and
pulled off the large globs of fat and separated the quarters into
individual pieces.
Hes such a  silly kitty06 Oct 2005 22:19 GMT4
Last night I was taken my shower and Harvey had assumed his customary
positon of supervision by sliding open the shower door a bit and
sitting on the edge and yowling at me that I was not doing it right. I
was talking to him as I got out of the shower telling him that meowmie
In the Dark06 Oct 2005 20:00 GMT1
Literally.  At 3:45PM Central Time the power went out to the entire
neighborhood.  (Huge sigh.)  I called the electric company automated
reporting system and hear there is a "fuse outage"; a crew has been
dispatched.  Meanwhile, it got up to 90F today.  In a couple of hours the
Update Computer Problems OT06 Oct 2005 13:44 GMT7
Thanks to the people who responded to my earlier post.   I don't seem to be
able to answer posts owing to something odd with OE.  When I hit reply a
window from Incredimail comes up without the ng. addy on it.   The machine
has been away again and now is minus the sound, more groans ...

Chester's home and chipped06 Oct 2005 07:07 GMT16
Well, I finally got to go and pick Chester up.  I called "Chester-cat" when
I saw him being carried down the hall in his carrier and he actually did a
wheelie in the carrier.  He's was purring and rubbing the cage, though a
mite unsteadily.  He's still wobbly though is ...
Did I say that Pippin was old?06 Oct 2005 06:12 GMT1
I looked up from the kitchen sink last night just in time to see Pippin
strutting up to the house with a fat, live chipmunk in his jaws!  Chippy
got away when DH intervened, and Pippin was confined to the house for a
while.  He got lots of praise! I've never seen him catch ...
Meat Muffin06 Oct 2005 04:29 GMT5
I was talking to my mom, and she asked what little Dante was doing.  I
said "He's right here, meatloafing."  She said he's too little to be a
meatloaf,  he must be a meat muffin. ;)

Holly the lap cat06 Oct 2005 02:28 GMT1
I thought Holly and Duffy didn't have any reaction to the hurricane (except
for one incident several hours *before* the winds hit, when Duffy suddenly
ran to me and rested with his head pressed hard against my chin and cheek --
and remained that way for a considerable period of ...

The older he gets the more he wants to be in my lap all the time.  Mr. Lap

cuddle all day.
