Here he is on his favourite cushion

Please Purr For My Stinky08 Oct 2005 05:33 GMT30
My poor boy is just not himself.  He is not bouncing back the way he
should.  There is something not right about him, that I can't put my
finger on.  He seemed to be accepting Dante more and more, but that
process seems to have stalled, and he just is not really acting at
Ticklish Teti08 Oct 2005 05:15 GMT1
Oooh, he doesn't like it, but I do... :-)
Sometimes, while we're playing, I start tickling his tummy. Teti is a grown
up cat and he is fully aware of what he likes and dislikes. Tickling is not
one of his favorites! But where other cats could have used both claws and

I spoke to Stinky's vet this morning because his bloodwork was back.
He is slightly anemic, and has a "slightly" elevated white count.  I
am going back there later to pick up the antibiotic-- then I have to
bring him back for another blood test in three weeks.
Bali bombing08 Oct 2005 04:25 GMT9
There have been suicide bombings in Bali again.  Fortunately only 24 people
killed.  Restaurants were blown up in 2 tourist areas,  3 years ago 200
people were killed when nightclubs were bombed.
Bali is a popular holiday spot for Australians,  at least 2 Aussies are

Silver's a kleptomaniac08 Oct 2005 00:37 GMT5
They're painting our windowframes and doors so they took the miniblind
off the little window in our door and unscrewed the hangers. The
fittings were left on our coffee table, and Silver just noticed them.
She jumped up onto the table, sniffed at the fittings, took one in her

Cinders has always been one of the most talkative cats I have known.
This morning, however, as I was shaving in the bathroom, her sounds
changed from meows to increasing-frantic howling.  I couldn't figure
out at first what was wrong.  Then I realized that she had been

Pippin's vet called last night.  His kidneys are fine!  The higher
protein was actually in proper proportion to everything else.  Yay!
Thanks for the purrs everyone.

...re pneumonia: I'm doing much better.  Thank you for all the purrs.
I'm not having too much problem with coughing any more.  I still cough a
lot, but it's productive, so it's not the constant hacking that was so
painful.
Bad kitties!07 Oct 2005 20:01 GMT10
This morning we woke to an open refrigerator full of room-temperature
food. Lots of stuff had to go in the garbage. I still can't figure out
how the cats manage to open the fridge, but they did.
Bad kitties!
Attenshun! Caliban calling Chapter 05 of HK!07 Oct 2005 19:41 GMT5
Deer brofurs and sisfurs,
The hoomin here is outta control! I was just playing with Miranda. She
was a bit grumpy, so I fought I'd tease her a bit so she'd snap out of
it. She can be a bit stuck-up sometimes. So, I jumped her and bit her
Catching up07 Oct 2005 17:21 GMT4
I'm finally back home after spending over a week on the road. There are
over 1300 posts, so it will take me a while to catch up. Purrs on the
way for those who need them.

Puppy shower07 Oct 2005 14:33 GMT9
A friend of my mother's is getting a new puppy, so my mother decided to give
her a puppy shower.  She is looking for a game to play at the shower.  She
says, "I like those games where people have questions they have to answer
and then read them out loud.  They always cause a laugh."
