I think fall is finally here11 Oct 2005 04:06 GMT30
Today a cold front blew through, finally dropping our temperatures below
the mid 90's (mid 30's for those of you with a sensible system). I'm
hoping we won't have to turn the air conditioning on tomorrow. :)
That also means we might have more than a couple of cats in bed!
Aerokat?11 Oct 2005 04:01 GMT8
Does anyone here use an aerokat inhaler on their cat? I'm going to make
an appointment for Pearl Monday. She had another coughing fit today and
finally I just pilled her with an extra dose of pred. However, Pearl is
gaining weight, and pred is only making that worse. I'm ...
Why? aka Practicing with Otis11 Oct 2005 02:35 GMT4
I mentioned before that Otis is a certifiable lap fungus these days.
Well, I was practicing my (loud) french horn last night and Otis was
incorrigible.  Every time that I would stop, his head would appear around
the corner, he'd leap into the room and try to jump on my lap.  I'd
??s for Australians11 Oct 2005 00:19 GMT8
DH and I made airline reservations for Sydney tonight!! We arrive Sunday,
November 13th and will be there until Saturday, November 19th.  Not as long
as I'd like to spend for a trip that takes so very long to make but I
realized I really didn't want to be gone from the cats for ...
SIMPSON'S NEW ROOF10 Oct 2005 21:04 GMT8
SIMPSON'S NEW ROOF
Down in Tuckahoe NJ, there is a man named Simpson who has a flat roof on his
house covered with tin - so says Max Adeler. The roof got to leaking badly,
and it happened to occur to Simpson that it would be a good thing to cover
Cats aboard (long) and possible foster home10 Oct 2005 18:14 GMT11
Yesterday afternoon, we put Cinder and Rosie in their travel bags and took
them onboard for a trial overnight cruise.  We'd had them onboard overnight
before, but while tied to the our dock. This would be their first time
underway to a different place.
Update on Frank and eating arrangements LONG10 Oct 2005 16:37 GMT20
I took all your suggestions to heart, and thought the main thing is to
get Frank to eat *something*. So, I dished out a buffet last night for
the cats. Poached turkey in one bowl, Waltham's convalascent food in
another, and kitten food in a third. I usually put up Caliban's ...
tuna place jobs?10 Oct 2005 08:53 GMT4
For any of you computer geeks who are still hunting for jobs and are
possibly willing to re-locate, a friend of mine claims that there are a
bunch of top dollar programming jobs in Seattle right now.  Don't know if
she's right or not, she has the hots for an Indian programmer in ...
Pearl likes to be vacuumed!10 Oct 2005 06:22 GMT6
I was doing heavy vacuum, air filter replacing stuff this morning.
Pearl was hanging out on a cat tree as I was vacuuming it down. I had
the apholstry brush tool on the wand. Her butt was toward me, tail
swinging and I thought, well, why not. I gently brush the tool down her
Cat Trouble at the Ritz10 Oct 2005 05:47 GMT6
Trouble kitty loves crackers.  Today she found the remainder of a
stick of Ritz that DH left sitting open.  Since there were no humans
in the room she decided to serve herself.  I found her sitting in the
middle of the kitchen table with her head in the cracker wrapper,
[KF] One of Mommykitten's babies10 Oct 2005 05:23 GMT2
One of the neighbors took gave Mommkittenm a place to have and raise
her kittens, and has found homes for all but one of the kittens.
One of the homed kittens lives a few doors down from us, and is very
sweet and friendly. In fact, I brought her inside to get a few
Booping Dante10 Oct 2005 05:22 GMT4
Before this, I must acknowledge the great stripey Hubert as the
all-round most boopable cat of all time, which I readily do.  And I
have long been very jealous because Stinky is not boopable at all.  I
guess he was too mature when I started doing it.  He just looks at me
Zoomies in the backyard10 Oct 2005 05:18 GMT3
Fred and I were throwing the football in the backyard yesterday afternoon on
a crisp cool sunny fall day.  The leaves have mainly fallen and the day had
this special prairie brilliant sunshine zoomie feel to it.  The last hurrah
before winter sort of feel ...
The dream10 Oct 2005 04:58 GMT1
Otis was allowed upstairs last night to sleep because he'd been so good the
night before ... after spending the *previous* night sulking in the
basement.
Two good nights in a row was too much to hope for.  After he got up and
