Okay, I decided to stay...(long)14 Oct 2005 23:00 GMT26
Thank you all for your condolences regarding Willow.    It has really helped
to know that you are out there and have been through the same thing with
your beloved pets.  I light a candle everyday for her, have pictures out,
and cry when I need to.  She touched my family's life in so ...
Attack of the Invisible Greebling14 Oct 2005 21:55 GMT2
Had a large piece of glass leaning against the front of a living room chair.
Chessie came flying into the room and leaped to jump to the chair seat on
her way to the window sill.   Had my back turned when all of a sudden, heard
a "thunk" and kitty sneeze after kitty sneeze.  She ...
Is there anything funnier?14 Oct 2005 21:25 GMT3
Than a kitten lying on his back, his eyes WIDE OPEN, waving all four
paws around in circles frantically?  :D

Someone was fighting today14 Oct 2005 20:43 GMT12
An hour or so ago I heard the sound of a catfight, or something like it, far
away. Everyone was in the house with me except Abelard, so it is presumed he
was fighting with another cat (one of Gloria's, or a stray), but it could
have been just about anything making him scream.
eating habits change: should I worry?14 Oct 2005 16:40 GMT1
Ever since I switched Oscar from free-fed dry kibble to twice-a-day
gooshy food, she's been ... less than enthusiastic about her meals.
This was about a year ago.  It hasn't been unusual at all to see food
still sitting there when it's time for her next meal; she also seemed
My good helper14 Oct 2005 16:40 GMT4
I'm working late tonight, some stupid deadline at work. Anyhow, Luna is
fast asleep on my pillow and Fez is sleep on Tom's legs. Rufous,
however, has not gone to bed yet and is hanging out near me in the
study. Normally, he would be fast asleep on my legs by now! He's such a
Community Cat Care "Fur Ball" (longish)14 Oct 2005 16:22 GMT1
Yep, that's what they's callin' it.  CCC is the "local" TNR
organization, and I had just heard about them (but hadn't gotten a
number) when my friend called.  She had purchased two tickets to the
"Fur Ball" (guess it's better than calling it a 'hair ball', though
A Good Day14 Oct 2005 15:28 GMT13
It's been a good day today. I worked from home today, and instead of
sleeping on the bed the whole day, Frank has been very perky and
friendly. He kept me company on the desk while I was working, something
he very rarely does. He's been roaming the flat, checking his domain and
Worried about Chester14 Oct 2005 14:41 GMT11
We usually get the boys in before dusk.  I was out tonight and Fred didn't
get Chester in.  I am worried about him, though he's quite a prudent cat.
To anyone who's still up, "get your furry butt home" purrs would be very
much appreciated.

The differences among Cats14 Oct 2005 14:27 GMT6
I can't get over the differences in personalities among the owners.  Qui Gun
Kit is totally fearless.  He has never known a day of hunger, other than
when visiting TED for his knacker removal.  He is so totally confident, he
will snuggle up to Tanada when she's awake.  He steals ...

Lori, I just read your last post, about how you miss having peace and
quiet.  Please take care of yourself.  If you can, go talk to a
therapist, just to vent.  I know it's hard but try to find some time
just for yourself.
Help! I've got Kitten Fever!14 Oct 2005 12:12 GMT30
The pictures people have been sharing are so cute and sweet and cuddly
and I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!  I really really want another cat, but John
says we can't afford it. :(  I need to hear all the BAD things about
having kittens to help cure me...
Job purrs please!14 Oct 2005 11:18 GMT25
As you may know I have a job I don't want- especially just lately when
things have gone from bad to worse.
Tomorrow morning I have an interview for a job that sounds like it
would be my dream job even under better circumstances here and it would
Loyalty14 Oct 2005 09:46 GMT25
When people first think about loyal pets, most no doubt picture a dog in
their minds. Dogs are known for their obedience and loyalty to their human
masters. Most people don't consider the cat, possibly because they mistake
"obedient" with "loyal", and cats are renown for being ...
