Ghost Hunting in TN (OT)01 Nov 2005 00:19 GMT7
I've had a couple of paranormal experiences here in the Memphis area.  But
that's not what this is about.  I'm not really hunting for ghosts :)
There's an old cemetery in a terrible state of disrepair in what used to be
the seat of Shelby County before Memphis won over.  Raleigh is ...

Happier cat01 Nov 2005 00:02 GMT4
Well, Otis is almost back to his old self.  He slept with me last night and
purred a fair amount.  He also sat on my lap a few times tonight while I was
on the computer.  It was probably just because he wanted to share his bad
gas.  Ewwwwwwwww :-)
Caliban is home31 Oct 2005 23:56 GMT27
Everything went well with Caliban's snip and he is home and fully awake.
Seems a bit confused, and does the cello-practising position a lot, and
then looks at me like, 'there's something missing here, isn't there?'
He was not at all pleased with getting no food in the morning. He ...
Beverage proof keyboard31 Oct 2005 23:46 GMT16
Alright y'all...bring on the hilarious anecdotes, the jokes and puns,
anything funny at all!  I can take it!  And no BW is needed.
Because I am the proud owner of a new keyboard.  It's rubber and can
be used under water.  Take a look:
Purrs and prayers please...31 Oct 2005 22:53 GMT9
Miss Whiskers has gone in for her op today. I have to ring up to arrange
to pick her up 2pm. Please purr and pray that she makes it through OK.

Well trained31 Oct 2005 22:18 GMT8
I'm sure all of you have experienced a "boneless kitty" at one point or
another. Its when you try to manahandle the cat into doing something it
doesn't want to do. The cat may fight you, or, in Gandhi-like protest, go
boneless, sot hat while youa ren't *fighting* against the cat ...
She gave me the oddest look31 Oct 2005 22:02 GMT2
Persia was scratching behind her ear... I looked at her and she stopped.  Oh
dear, I caught her scratching.  She gave me an odd look and pretended no,
she wasn't scratching her ear.
Persia was scratching her neck... I looked at her and she stopped.  Oh dear,
Safe glue for cat toys?31 Oct 2005 21:45 GMT1
Silly question, perhaps, but I'm wondering if any of you good folks
know.
I got one of those cheap little toys, a fuzzy ball on an elastic
string tied at the top to a little plastic ring.  The kittens *adore*
Returning to the cat-and-bed discussion31 Oct 2005 19:36 GMT23
Believe it or not, I had just managed to get up from a nice afternoon
nap without disturbing a single kitty.

Hasn't she grown into an elegant ladycat?
Pictures of Mommy Kitten31 Oct 2005 19:29 GMT15
I finally managed to get Mommy Kitten to let me take pictures. This is
the little yearling girl kitty who showed up pregnant, and who a
neighbor took in, and found homes for the kittens.
I put some new pix of Buster, feeling he needed some attention as
Is this cat abandonment?31 Oct 2005 19:16 GMT13
If someone who says they may have your lost cat, releases that cat at
your apartment complex, and then refuses to pick it up when the cat is
recaptured, is that animal abandonment?
That's what has happened here in Hammond, Louisiana.  The SLU co-ed
Bittie update31 Oct 2005 18:39 GMT31
Well, Bittie is at Chez Miles. From the sounds of it, she's (I'll call
her a she, because that is what everyone thinks she is) had quite the
adventure. :o(
She was found in a rubbish skip this morning, and had a badly
There he goes again31 Oct 2005 16:13 GMT1
Dante just jumped into the basket again, grabbed the feather duster
(by the feathery end), jumped out with it, and went trotting off with
it, looking just like a a film I once saw of a lion with a guinea
fowl. ;)
CJ and the telephone31 Oct 2005 15:29 GMT7
I put one of those ultra complex 36 button phones with a digital
answering machine, an LCD display, etc. in the computer room because
it was the only one I could find at Walmart that had a large button
keypad on the base unit (instead of in the handset).  I never wanted
