Buffy the cat is not so smart23 Sep 2005 18:43 GMT6
Buffy the cat hasn't learned that the bird has a warning signal for us
humans. And then Buffy tries to act all innocent and droop in our arms
as we drag her away from the cage for the thirtieth time.
How do we stop this? Closing the door to the cage room is impractical.

Lori, I was so happy to read your post that one of the dogs was found!
I got tears in my eyes.  I had prayed that they would be ok and would
be found.
About time your family had some good things happen!

HK: How I get meowmie all to myself23 Sep 2005 16:46 GMT3
See I luv my meowmie so much. She takes such good care of me and when I
do something bad she fusses but then she feels bad and loves me for a
long time. (Don't tell her)
This is how I get the big bed all for me and meowmie.
Hoolikit Klub or Greebling-Getting Gang?23 Sep 2005 16:26 GMT14
LO Hoolies everywhere!
2 lines seem to be emerging: either we can have a little gang for those
of us born this year, true kittens, or we can widen things to a full
club of current hoolies, recent but still trying hoolies and previous
Mere chill?23 Sep 2005 16:24 GMT20
Miranda loves being out in the enclosure. sometimes it's hard to get her
inside, but it's too cold outside to keep the door open all the time. It
struck me the other day that Russian Blues have a thinner coat than most
cats. So doesn't Miranda get cold out there?
HELP- new kitten23 Sep 2005 15:44 GMT31
By a series of events I don't have time to report, poor Stinky's
territory has been invaded by an adorable 16-week old hoolikitten.
I thought this would go really well, but it is not.  Hoolikitten is
now happily bouncing all over his new digs-- much as Stinky did 13
A D-Pet???23 Sep 2005 14:42 GMT25
I'm seriously considering a D-pet, you guys. I like d*gs, but it's rare
that I get really attached to one at the shelter. This girl is special.
And she just loves *me*, for some reason. The kennelmaster had her out
front, and dropped the leash. She ran over and got behind me. ...
We're ALL going here...23 Sep 2005 09:28 GMT15

On another, more personal note:  my vet has had a invitation from me
since shortly after Beast left that I could help out with an older cat
Entertaining the neighbourhood23 Sep 2005 05:14 GMT10
My cat enclosure seems to be a big hit in the neighbourhood. It's so
funny to sit inside and watch people walking by with their sour or dazed
faces suddenly lighting up when they spot a cat or two in the enclosure.
They start grinning and crane their necks while walking by so ...
My cat loves German whole rye bread!23 Sep 2005 05:03 GMT4
But only this expensive German brand: http://www.mestemacher.de/english/fwk.html
Is it good for her? It is good for humans, thats for sure.
Well they finally wised up23 Sep 2005 04:05 GMT4
Just heard that Galveston is allowing people to take their pets with them on
the bus when they evacuate. It's about time they realized that people
shouldn't be forced to leave their pets if they want to evacuate themselves.

Candles lit, prayers said23 Sep 2005 01:53 GMT2
For everyone in the path of Hurricane Rita, I've lit candles and done my
version of prayer.  Bless you all and get the heck out of there while you
can.  Head north.  NOW.  With your pets.  I'll help you find motels that
will take pets; there are tons of them.

Today is the day Mayhem goes to school with me to be interviewed to be
