We talked to DH's brother in Texzs City this morning. They are okay, just a
lot of wind and rain. Their power was still on at 9 am eastern time
Saturday.

I picked up the 9yo Siamese male yesterday.  It was not a good adventure
getting home but I'll leave the story for later.  Simon will purr if
he's cornered but otherwise he's reluctant to be seen.  His owner died
3weeks ago and he's been in a cage at the vets until yesterday.

She had her endoscopy yesterday. Willow recovered well and was begging for
food, so I obliged.  The steroid really didn't seem to be helping her, so
she is off that for right now and is taking Reglan for
nausea/vomiting...which didn't work last night, because the poor thing

Erin finally got in touch with a person from the Iberia Humane Society where
Gypsy *WAS*.  She found out that they had to evacuate because of Rita
(Iberia is right on the Gulf of Mexico)!!!!  But they say that Gypsy is safe
and can be picked up after the storm passes.

Bandit was a big beautiful maine coon cat.  He was fifteen yrs old and
had to have the vet send him to the rainbow bridge this morning due to
chronic renal failure and apparently liver cancer as well.
