Request for purrs03 Sep 2005 23:17 GMT31
I haven't been posting about my own family members involved in the
Katrina disaster but the time seems to have come to ask for a purr or
two.  As the days go by without word, we're getting more concerned.
Two of my elderly aunts live in New Orleans and several cousins and
Still lurking around03 Sep 2005 18:56 GMT19
Although I'm not posting I'm still reading the group and keeping up with
things.
I don't have another cat yet, still missing Sophie too much. (and of
course feeling guilty which is normal when I lose someone. You know the
hoomin stacking03 Sep 2005 18:51 GMT2
After the occasional conversation that has happened here about
cat-stacking, Persephone would like to redress the imbalance by
indulging in some human-stacking.
DH came home from work last night, very tired and just wanting to sit
The Persistent Roxie03 Sep 2005 16:09 GMT5
I am convinced that Roxie will either someday be elected to a major public
office, or simply become an extreme-sports enthusiast of considerable
reknown. Either way, she's so smart it scares me.
One would figure that, ordinarily, a cat might have an "out of sight, out of
Favorite Things03 Sep 2005 15:24 GMT2
Rhett's favorite toys are anything that he can bang around on any
hard floor. Ice cubes, childs block toys, dry cat food; anything
that makes noise.
Scarlett's favorite thing to do is jump on the washing machine and
new cat toys03 Sep 2005 14:13 GMT4
Saturday I stopped at a tag sale and purchased practice golf balls. They are
the size of a regular golf ball but look like a wiffle ball. (Hard plastic
with small holes in it.) Sam is enjoying his new toys. I even told the
person having the tag sale they were for my cat.
Wake-up call03 Sep 2005 13:29 GMT4
I think it was Whiskas that had an ad a few years ago with three cartoon
cats, one of them a big fat one voiced by Tom Bosley--an appropriate actor
for the kitty character, I think--and it was time to get their servant out
of bed for breakfast. The Bosley cat stepped in and said ...
Abelard found in barn03 Sep 2005 13:18 GMT15
I called Gloria to ask if she'd seen him lately, and she said he was down
near the barn as of this time yesterday, so I walked down there (with
Beatrice) and sure enough, he was there. I carried his fuzzy butt most of
the way back!!
Will be gone for a week03 Sep 2005 13:13 GMT6
Will be leaving the heat and humidity of Central Florida for the heat and
maybe less humidity of Boston (Woburn really) to spend a week with my mom
who is in a nursing home.  Mom has Parkinson's Disease and loses a bit more
of her abilities each day.
We're "Expecting"...03 Sep 2005 13:11 GMT11
....more kittens and puppies, that is. We have so many litters and more
are coming in. Kitten season isn't slowing down. That's why Angel still
hasnt got a home.
Anyway, I got this bright idea. I thought we could have a shower. You
Another alarm clock kitten03 Sep 2005 12:02 GMT9
I posted a few months ago about how Harri Roadcat wa such a help to me in
the truck with her built-in alarm clock. It was nice being able to go to
sleep knowing that my little furry buddy would come wake me up just before
the alarm clock did.
Three new Devon Rex kittens!03 Sep 2005 08:47 GMT16
My ex-wife's Devon Rex, Isis, had a litter August 26th 2005. Isis is the
daughter of my cat, Tinùviel, so I can say that I've become a great
grandfather to the new ones...
Take a look!
story03 Sep 2005 08:27 GMT1
Things here at Offutt Orphanage are same as always - loads of
orphaned kittens coming and going. I finally did keep a second kitten.
Marble was kitty number 890 (out of 956 now) and #2 to earn a permanent
place in my house. She still has her amazing colors.
Katrina Aid?03 Sep 2005 04:57 GMT26
Any of you folks know if there any charities that are helping out the
victims of Katrina (human or animal) that are accepting international
donations?
Purring & praying just doesn't seem enough.
Purrs for a speedy wart removal pleeze.03 Sep 2005 02:50 GMT5
I got some Compound W and it seems to be doing the job, but even so...
I could sure use some purrs.
