Can I have some get-well purrs please?07 Sep 2005 20:59 GMT36
I got 'asthma' the other night out of the blue and I still feel
lousy... John's been on the phone this morning trying to get our
health insurance ducks in a row so that I can go to a doctor if I
don't feel better by Monday, because they screwed up our insurance -

I seem to be holding the kids a little closer ...07 Sep 2005 20:08 GMT9
After seeing some of the Katrina video and hearing some of the stories
... I noticed that I am holding Dusty Cat a little closer -  a little
tighter, the Cosmo Cat is gettting some extra long petting, and the
Oreo Kid is getting a few extra treats ...
Cat collars to keep them from scratching, etc07 Sep 2005 16:03 GMT2
I order my Litter Locker refills via the internet cause even with
shipping, if I order four, they're much, much less expensive than at a
pet store.  My order arrived from Jeffers Pets and also contained a
little catalogue ( http://www.jefferspet.com) .
Tyche does her own sound effects.07 Sep 2005 12:13 GMT10
Whenever Tyche jumps off a chair or something, upon landing she lets
out a little noise, like a squeak or grunt-meow.  It's like in basic
training where they say "Let me hear your battle cry!" and go HOOAH!
every time they make a punch/step/whatever.

The lady I'm buying the house from has found a home for her 2 cats!!!
YAY!  I was getting worried that I'd end up taking them on, as there
was no way I was letting them get sent to a shelter.  Problem solved...
*Whew*
Where has the summer gone?07 Sep 2005 04:45 GMT10
Hey All...  I've been lurking as much as possible & posting not at all.
Here's a little update on me:
Bought a house... Take posession in 2 weeks.  Been working at a decent
spot here in town (Kamloops), rewriting their wine list & also writing

The news from down south started this song going around in my head
last week.  And sure enough, some of the broadcasters picked it up,
and are using it as practically a theme song for the disaster.
Few songwriters can couch such rage in such sweet melodies as Randy
I think the cats are gonna eat better than we will!07 Sep 2005 02:16 GMT13
My mother gave us some money to buy hurricane supplies because we're
in a financial bind just now and we used what little stuff we had last
weekend... so I went to Walmart and spent ninety dollars on stuff for
us - a small camp stove and a cooler and a lantern so that we won't be
In the same boat07 Sep 2005 01:56 GMT14
Well, my flu turned into bronchitis, so I'm on antibiotics now, too. At
last I can tell Frank we're in the same boat when I try to squirt the
ABs into his mouth. At least I got some very nice-tasting cough syrup,
too. I'm on sick-leave for the rest of the week, and I don't even ...
First day back  OT06 Sep 2005 22:35 GMT14
The alarm going off at 6.45 was a bit of a shock.  Since I've been ill and
recuperating 6.45 has existed only in the p.m. mode.  The chickens and geese
were a little shocked to be let out and fed so early. Kitty FC was in the
house, amazed to see me! but BF was out,  confident ...
Spots needs help (Also, Girly)06 Sep 2005 22:21 GMT8
Are their agencies or places that helps with vets bills?  Spot's teeth are
bad again--I think he is running a low-grade fever.  His breath is really bad
and I just looked inside his mouth--mercy!
He had a dental and two teeth extracted--but, the dental didn't help and
Update on Caramel's tail06 Sep 2005 22:12 GMT5
Since the trip to the vet last Tuesday, Caramel's tail has improved
quite a lot.
She is now able to move it a lot more freely, and whilst she still
cannot hold it straight up, it is getting there - it's a sort of arc
Urgent Q. Flea Control06 Sep 2005 22:02 GMT19
I have got myself 4 little urchin throw-away kittens today. They are
completely covered in fleas. About 10 weeks old.
Problem is, I don't have any Advantage, and have called around, no
friends have any on hand, and the vet is closed.
