There might be a new kind of cat toy around here, although I sincerely hope

This morning, our next-door neighbor asked if we'd seen any mice recently.
The answer, fortunately, is "No", and I hope it remains that way.

Yesterday I was knocked out by a nasty migraine (cluster headache,
technically) all day. I slept a good part of the day, then just sat in
front of the TV on a drug-induced haze. :)

My poor mother is terribly worried about her toy poodle, Cricket. Yesterday
she was cleaning out her refrigerator and found some meat that wasn't
spoiled, but it was dried out.  She gave Cricket a piece of the meat, and it
got stuck partway down her esophagus.

One of my colleagues has had a very tough week. One of her d*gs got ill
over the weekend and when they took her to TED, it turned out she had
cancer spread all over the place. They gave her the ultimate gift of
