| There might be a new kind of cat toy around here | 11 Sep 2005 14:58 GMT | 5 |
There might be a new kind of cat toy around here, although I sincerely hope not. This morning, our next-door neighbor asked if we'd seen any mice recently. The answer, fortunately, is "No", and I hope it remains that way.

| Such good nurses | 11 Sep 2005 08:42 GMT | 6 |
Yesterday I was knocked out by a nasty migraine (cluster headache, technically) all day. I slept a good part of the day, then just sat in front of the TV on a drug-induced haze. :) Basho was a good nurse, he sat on my chest and purred for a good two

| My mother's dog | 11 Sep 2005 06:54 GMT | 75 |
My poor mother is terribly worried about her toy poodle, Cricket. Yesterday she was cleaning out her refrigerator and found some meat that wasn't spoiled, but it was dried out. She gave Cricket a piece of the meat, and it got stuck partway down her esophagus.

| Purr for co-worker | 10 Sep 2005 23:53 GMT | 18 |
One of my colleagues has had a very tough week. One of her d*gs got ill over the weekend and when they took her to TED, it turned out she had cancer spread all over the place. They gave her the ultimate gift of love and let her go.

| A creature of habit | 10 Sep 2005 23:06 GMT | 7 |
We have a two sink vanity in our master bath, DH's sink is on the right, and mine is the left. Mithu always wants a drink from the faucet in DH's sink. He sits on the left side of the sink and leans in to drink from the stream. Well, last night, DH's sink was pretty cruddy, as ...

| Kona Gone To The Bridge | 10 Sep 2005 21:06 GMT | 47 |
I almost hesitate to post something this personal because of all of the tragedy going on in the aftermath of Katrina, but I know people here understand. I had to let Kona go to the Bridge Tuesday night.

| I, for one, ain't leaving! | 10 Sep 2005 20:41 GMT | 68 |
I just read CatNipped's farewell post with rather a heavy heart. Such a nice lady; I wish she lived in Buffalo... While I have been a less frequent presence lately due to job constraints, I have been finding certain crosspostings/trollings in recent weeks to be

| Tubs is doing well | 10 Sep 2005 20:24 GMT | 4 |
The infection on his ear flap is getting under control now. There was very little pus this evening, the swelling is way down, and it looks a whole lot better. I still can't get over what a GOOD BOY he has been about being doctored. I

| Meow! (wake up meowmie!) | 10 Sep 2005 20:18 GMT | 1 |
Silver was being a furry little PITA this morning... I've discovered that the furry body on or in the bed with me when I wake up is usually her, coming for a little cuddle time while I'm asleep. Usually she lets me sleep and just snuggles up to my side, but this morning she

About 2 weeks ago I had the whole family cleaning out closets etc. Anything that someone else could use was placed in one box and the trash in another. Harvey insisted on inspecting each and every item to ensure that it had
