Week one of school:  Partly OT27 Aug 2005 22:26 GMT7
Well, I survived the first "week" of college.  I'd forgotten how exhausting
it can be to attend two or three classes a day.  I've been coming home,
doing any homework, then crashing until the next day.  Eating has been done
with a pencil in one hand and a fork in the other.
How's Jean?27 Aug 2005 22:09 GMT2
I was wondering how Jean Hobbs was doing, I haven't seen anything for a
few weeks. Is she back with with Wilson yet?

So excited27 Aug 2005 21:46 GMT19
When I was making up the contract to rent this place, my landlord gave
me permission to have an enclosure built in the little garden attached
to the flat. I asked the building manager for his permission, and today
I received it, in writing, no less.
Attention Denver!27 Aug 2005 19:33 GMT1
So... it's still a few weeks away, but I'm very excited about my trip to
Denver. I'm arriving on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 11am and flying back to
Austin on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 4pm.
I don't want to impose on Hopitus or anybody, so would it be possible to
Red Dog in my Underwear (possible BW)27 Aug 2005 18:40 GMT4
Not a real one, mind you.  <big grin>
Well, as many of you know, Wolfie (full name Wulfgangh von Catticus)
thinks he's a dog.  He even looks a bit dog-like.  He actually heels,
and loves playing with balls.
Back to work in less than three weeks!  OT27 Aug 2005 18:23 GMT28
I went to my doctor today to see whether I will be able to return to work
fairly soon.  It's 11 weeks now since my surgery.
It was a doctor I had never seen before, a locum.  His appointments were
running well behind and I had to wait for ages, but I found out why, because

It was my turn to smirk. "Well, my mother might be concerned."
Van Doren grabbed the door and held it for me. "I got it from Brad Turnow's
office," he said. "They faxed out an announcement to the press, and I got th
e figure from his receptionist when I called to follow up."
Cleo update27 Aug 2005 17:05 GMT27
We just heard from the vet that removed the growths from Cleo's mouth. He
said they were fibromucosal polyps, and were definitely not cancerous.
That's sure a load off our minds!

More bed-making27 Aug 2005 13:59 GMT14
Persia can't stand it (can any cat?) when I strip the bed to wash the sheets
(as I just did) and replace them with fresh ones.  Even before I really got
started, she was wide-eyed, watching... oooh, you know what's gonna happen!
It's very difficult to change the sheets on my bed.  ...
OT; I am an urban warrior27 Aug 2005 13:38 GMT1
Apparently I am an "urban warrior"
See CTC web site article "What makes women cycle?" Link at www.ctc.org.uk
"More and more people promoting cycling are catching on to this and
marketing specifically to women via positive images of women of all ages and
Official warning27 Aug 2005 08:34 GMT2
Dear Pets, yes all of you.
One of you, Shmogg, may be getting a bit stiff in the joints, but you make u
for this with street smarts and a world famous cunning. Another one of you,
IBKfergus, may not have the experience of Shmogg, but your incredible speed,
Update on Stray Kitten (3?)27 Aug 2005 06:45 GMT13
Haven't given you folks much of an update on her lately, but my computer was
down and I've been really busy.  I sat with her in her isolation bedroom
(vet trip on Saturday pending possible hurricane) yesterday morning and she
was just all purrs and affection.  I left the room to ...
Cat with sore on hind leg - Amitriptyline and Tresaderm?27 Aug 2005 03:43 GMT3
A few months ago I wrote about my mom's cat and a recurring
sore she had on her right hind leg.  She would constantly lick it and
bite at the hair around it.  The vet put her on Tresaderm and a small
dosage of an anti-inflammatory.
Too much responsibility26 Aug 2005 22:31 GMT9
Boyfriend seems to think that I'm not capable of being safe down the garden
to look after the chickens on my own.
It seems to stem back to last fall when I wrote how he'd accompanied me down
the path to check the chicken huts in the middle of the night in a raging
