| Off again soon | 02 Aug 2005 05:30 GMT | 4 |
I'm going back to the island tomorrow. In about a week I should be back with the cats, and then I will fetch LEO (orwhateverhisnamewillbe)!!! I just looked at the pictures I took of him in his foster home (the brown tabby at http://community.webshots.com/album/369334917nDLGmi), ...

| Remaining Babies (Babes in Training) | 01 Aug 2005 23:50 GMT | 1 |
Hello all, the Babes-In-Training (BITs or bitties) have had a time readjusting to life less two of their number. As you know, I posted a whimper thread about "losing" Norton and Trixie. They (Norton and Trixie) have adapted well to being the only

| cat food price hike | 01 Aug 2005 23:40 GMT | 36 |
When I went and got prescription food for Rusty this morning, I found the price went up. With tax, it is over $40 Can. This is Hill's prescription canned cat food. A case of it won't even last a month. Wonder how long I can keep up. Rusty is already

| AW: Child Abuse/Animal Pampering | 01 Aug 2005 22:57 GMT | 21 |
This is kind of OT, but really sad, and it's bothering me a lot. Authorities took this child from its home here 2 days ago. He was 4 years old and only weighed 28 lbs. He was chained in a closet. He had a lot of old injuries from abuse that I won't describe here.

| Flannagan makes demands... | 01 Aug 2005 22:49 GMT | 13 |
As you know, a while back I had foster kittens with very bad flu, who all found great homes. The people who adopted the pair of kittens Flannagan and Lola, have had me on "speed dial" on their phone as they had never had cats before and ring me up for advice fairly regularly.

| Thrift Shop Treasure | 01 Aug 2005 18:46 GMT | 8 |
Found this at the thrift store my DIL took me to yesterday (it looks much nicer in RL - it was hard to get a picture without a reflection on the glass). http://www.possibleplaces.com/Painting/

| O&C snippets (repost?) | 01 Aug 2005 16:37 GMT | 2 |
I posted this a while ago but don't see it. Pardon if this is a repeat. It's been a little while since I've been anecdote-y about the boys. Summer is harder for that since they spend so much time lounging outdoors and killing mice that they're a little less playful and more ...

| On Topic - Biking - WTF??? | 01 Aug 2005 15:10 GMT | 11 |
OK, I love my new bike, but since I have been riding again after getting over the pneumonia, I've been having a weird problem. After about 40 minutes of riding my left foot will "fall asleep". I changed the saddle to my old saddle (that I used to ride for 2 hours at a time without ...

| Otis in the window | 01 Aug 2005 15:04 GMT | 1 |
My friend was over this evening dropping something off and we settled into the chairs at the front entrance to chat for a while. Otis and Chester had just been confined to the house before they could wander, due to the alluring warm nights and the coyotes that roam at night.

| Vino steps it up a notch! | 01 Aug 2005 14:22 GMT | 4 |
Vino is getting more serious in his efforts to wake me up in the morning. The last 2 days in a row he has taken to unplugging and plugging back in my alarm clock. So I wake up to flashing numbers with the wrong time! Aaargh!

| Tales from a POV (Prisoner of Veterinarian) - Day 3 | 01 Aug 2005 12:38 GMT | 2 |
So far we are still alive. We've managed to realize that the people here are not trying to kills us......yet. It does seem like they are keeping us alive for some reason. They take us out and put us on the scale every morning, and will occasionally
