Did you bird-loving cat folks see this AP
news I found in my hometown paper this am? Why would anyone argue the
existence of a cute little (noisy - but 'peckers *are* cute) bird in a
swamp?!
TED appointment for Fez and Rufous02 Aug 2005 23:38 GMT15
Fez and Rufous are going tomorrow (Saturday) morning for their annual
checkup. They are very healthy, so I don't anticipate any surprises
there, but can I get some purrs so they don't yowl the entire time?
People think I'm killing my cats when they go to TED!

Is Otis (London) unique?02 Aug 2005 19:57 GMT2
I bet he isn't, who's cats have these endearing qualities other than
mine?
1. Whines for me to go in kitchen, I assume he needs either food or

Much loved pale blue leather lace, last seen on hallway mat.  Does not
I am a mighty huntress02 Aug 2005 19:22 GMT12
Yes, that's *me* - the mere hoomin. *I* am a mighty huntress. Waffles has
taught me well. ;-)
Earlier this evening I caught a glimpse of something small and rodent-like
running across the floor. Something brought in by one of the three felines.

The never ending Perils of Pearl02 Aug 2005 19:13 GMT26
Poor girl has such troubles. She has often had trouble with bouts of
diarrhea but more so since we discovered her heart trouble. Last night she
was soooooo uncomfortable. And when she is uncomfortable she wants to eat.
Then she throws up because she ate too much and because of the ...
Advice Please....02 Aug 2005 18:24 GMT13
I need advice. I am well pissed off with next doors
Jack-Russell-from-hell. The Fracking thing keeps yapping & barking and
disturbing my nap. To add insult to injury, the bastard chased me twice
this morning when I was out doing my rounds. I of course smacked it in
Anyone Remember Basil and Sage?02 Aug 2005 14:42 GMT3
I used to subscribe to rec.pets.cats many, many moons ago and told
tales of my black cats, Basil and Sage.  I recently found the messages
and they are from 1995!  Anyone been here that long and remember them?
Well, they're still going and still lots of fun.  I had said they were
A new 'cat perch'02 Aug 2005 14:06 GMT8
Since almost everyone's moving out of our building this week there's
been quite a lot of furniture left out at the dumpster. People aren't
supposed to do that but since they're leaving they don't care... I
acquired a small bookshelf and a large cream metal shelf/stand thingy
Help protect dogs and cats in breeding facilities02 Aug 2005 13:56 GMT3
Dear Friend,
I thought you might be interested in this HSUS campaign to increase
protections for dogs and cats at mass breeding facilities.
As you know, puppy mills are large scale breeding operations that churn out

I'm sure I've asked this before....02 Aug 2005 05:56 GMT1
I even think it was Jill who answered, but I'll be damned if I can find the
message. Must be senility.
So, who makes the outdoor cat tunnels/enclosures. I'd like one with a
bottom, since it will be sitting on the patio stones, not staked to the
