Claudius is here (Pics up too)03 Aug 2005 17:37 GMT20
I brought him home yesterday lunchtime. Only 1 miaow during the
40-minute journey, which he spent snuggled up in the nearest corner to
me of the large-dog-sized carrier.
Raki the d-pet rushed up to greet me as I hefted the carrier indoors.
Save A Cat03 Aug 2005 17:05 GMT3
Hello.:^)
I hope this isn't considered spam or illegal. I was unable to find the
rules for discuss.
I've taken in a lot of strays in my neighborhood that have wandered into
Mere huntress part II03 Aug 2005 12:20 GMT7
While I've been in town, packing, moving and unpacking, the cats have
been looked after on the island by their Grandmeowmie. She even moved
down into my shack so 'they wouldn't be lonely at night'. (Yes, they
have her firmly wrapped around their little paws. She spoils them like
Prissy -(First 'owner' ) 03 Aug 2005 12:20 GMT12
I've mentioned before that we had another Siamese years ago. This is so long
ago that it was right before we were married (and we're celebrating 30 this
year!) Someone had abandoned her  (she was about 1 yr old) in the hall in
our apt building with a bowl of food; so they may ...
We've been RESCUED!!! (long)03 Aug 2005 12:17 GMT2
Today was our fifth day of imprisonment.  We were taken out and put on
the scale again and fed our food.  It seemed like another day of
imprisonment.
But this day was different.  Now it was our turn to be tortured!!
Boyfriend gets the rat03 Aug 2005 12:07 GMT7
Boyfriend likes to join me every morning when I feed the chickens, to "help"
me.  Suddenly there was a little skirmish near one of the huts. Then BF took
off up the path towards the house and I could tell he had caught something
and had it in his mouth.
Help! Da TED said we're too fluffy!03 Aug 2005 11:44 GMT9
I think da scales were lying... or da TED-lady was. She made us sit on
the metal box and she said that I'm too fluffy since I'm a year old
and I'm as growed up as I'm gonna get.  She said I'm 14 pounds...
Silly's the greedy one! She  eats way more than me and she steals off
Fosterers: Stand and Be Recognized!03 Aug 2005 11:35 GMT13
Some unknown folks emailed Sherry, thinking she was taking Angel to the
shelter because of her "antics".  Angel was a fostered kitten, ready for a
forever-home.
If you foster cats, please stand and be recognized!
Angel's Last Photo03 Aug 2005 10:49 GMT36
Well this is it. She's going to the shelter in the morning.
I swear, she has been so nice today. I didn't feel well and she cuddled
up on my chest while I laid down all afternoon.
I got her stuff all together ready to load in the car, and she went
O&C snippets03 Aug 2005 06:33 GMT5
It's been a little while since I've been anecdote-y about the boys.  Summer
is harder for that since they spend so much time lounging outdoors and
killing mice that they're a little less playful and more independent.
... or so I thought.  I realized that I hadn't even tried to ...
Angel *Likes* the Spray Bottle--So Now What?03 Aug 2005 06:23 GMT20
Can a 9-week-old kitten be incorrigible?
What do I do now, buy a Super Soaker?
NEVER seen anything like it. She thinks it's a game, runs full-force
into the mist, runs around the room, then back up at the spray bottle.
Samson hates peppermint03 Aug 2005 06:23 GMT28
Have you ever seen a cat recoil and look totally horrified from just a
smell?  It's so funny!  Samson does it every time I try to pick him up
right after I brush my teeth, or if I have just chewed a Rolaids, or
had a starlight mint!  He absolutely detests the scent of peppermint.
A lesson learned03 Aug 2005 06:23 GMT3
I was making the bed tonight, when I discovered a monster under the
sheets. As is my wont, I poked it.
I had it suddenly brought to my attention that sheet monsters have
claws.
Warning about dangle toys attached to scratching posts03 Aug 2005 06:23 GMT7
This is a duplicate of a message I just posted to health+behav.  The message
in h+b was written in response to another message, but I feel very strongly
about the dangers of those cute "dangle toys" that are often attached to cat
trees and scratching posts.
UPDATED Update on John's Mom :)03 Aug 2005 04:52 GMT10
Cantankerous woman that she is, she told John yesterday to just take some
furnishings and stuff over to her apartment at the nursing home and "let's
get it over with".  Sorry but I got a chuckle out of that.  So she went to
the apartment yesterday.  It's located down a *long* ...
