Nico's bigger than Laku!!30 Aug 2005 20:53 GMT5
I suspected as much for ages, but this morning I decided to weigh them
both on our scales. First me without cat, then me with one and me with
the other. Nico weighs 6,2 kg (about 13.7 lbs) and Laku is a lean 5,4 kg
(about 11.9 lbs). I don't think Laku will grow any bigger, only
Today's Garfield30 Aug 2005 20:27 GMT1
Today's Garfield comic is quite interesting. Looks like Garfield
ate 20 lbs of kitty litter. Wonder whether any cat really eats litter made
of corn and wheat?
I use wheat litter, and Rusty does not eat it.

pet loss poem for people that rescue cats?30 Aug 2005 18:56 GMT15
Rainbow Bridge is great but are there any poems specifically written
for people that rescue strays and kittens?  Appreciate any respones.
Thanks.

It's hot out there today! I did my increasingly regular Tuesday 45-mile bike
ride and noticed that the reading of 32 on my cycle computer referred to
temperature in Celsius rather than speed in miles per hour ;-)
I could tell it was hot, as I passed several cats en route as I ...

Just like any typical Finnish men, hanging out in the sauna. All they
are missing is the beer.

Sometimes there seems to be a wonderful force helping us!
We foster for a rescue group; one of our fosters, a 6-month old
boy, was adopted last week, but they asked us to hold him until they
could pick him up on Sunday evening.
I'm back! (did anybody miss me?) (Hurricane story - VERY LONG)30 Aug 2005 13:56 GMT5
Well, I've survived my first genuine Florida hurricane... we weren't
nearly as prepared for it as I'd have liked to be, but we weren't that
uncomfortable. John was sure that we'd be just fine since it was
'only' a tropical storm... so we didn't make any special preperations,
sort of OT: A big cheer for PACT!!!30 Aug 2005 13:50 GMT3
Yes!
Story in local newspaper which is a perfect example of why I support PACT (a
small animal charity: that I got Marble from) over and beyond the RSPCA -
it's why small animal charities across the UK work unceasingly to raise

Purrs needed30 Aug 2005 12:24 GMT14
We just got back from a weekend away today.  A friend has been looking
after the girls for us.
When we got back we noticed that Caramel's tail isn't standing up
anymore.  She seems to be able to raise the first 3 inches, but the
Cat foods and too much sugar - what are the best?30 Aug 2005 11:20 GMT40
I was thinking about possible food allergies (some cats are allergic to
fish).
I know that Eukanuba, Wellness, Pro Plan, and Nutra Max are among the best,
but how about the supermarket foods.
Has anybody heard from  Pam?30 Aug 2005 06:44 GMT2
I haven't been on rpca for a long time and I have been wondering about Pam.
She was going through a terrible time in her life.  Does anyone know if she
is OK?  Does she still come on rpca?  Thanks.

There is some use of profanity. Kind of.

I feel so selfish30 Aug 2005 02:02 GMT38
When I posted my college update, I forgot to put in what has been edging the
back of my mind.  I won't be in here as often as before due to all the work
for school.  So I want to offer up purrs and best wishes for all of you.
Tak, I'm so sorry about Miss Betty's jaw.  I hope that ...
