For those who remember me23 Jul 2005 01:32 GMT43
I haven't read or posted in this group for a very long time, although
I'm a member of catslaves :-). It's just overwhelming to see the
number of postings each day in this group. I will not be able to
follow all of them.
[Completely OT] ... job hunters, what would you pay for ...22 Jul 2005 23:39 GMT56
Well, I got a lot of feedback from my job hunt that my cover letter
was absolutely excellent.  More than one person said I had the best
cover letter they'd ever seen.
I've also helped a few people recently, and they all said that I had a
Cleo - update22 Jul 2005 23:27 GMT21
Back from seeing TED, Cleo has an abscessed tooth, TED gave her a good check
over and said for her age she is in good nick, but the tooth has to come
out, we left her there, somewhat reluctantly, TED will remove the tooth in
the morning, not much sleep for us tonight, at her age it ...
Oscar being a sweetie22 Jul 2005 20:18 GMT11
I was super-tired yesterday evening and my pain meds were running out,
but I suspected that Oscar was feeling neglected, so I sat down near
her, picked up the cat dancer she'd been half-heartedly pawing, and
made it dance.

Got a question for you.
Background:  I've had asthma in the past, but haven't needed an inhaler in
about 5 - 6 years.  Lately, since the weight loss, I've been in excellent
health.  Last Wednesday I had a check-up with the doctor and my BP was 110

How's the wrist doing, sweetie?  And the bruises and road rash?
Purrs that you're felling better.

Using the hammock22 Jul 2005 15:01 GMT3
We have a fold up type hammock that is brought out whenever the overflow of
people is to large for the number of beds.  Mike loves it and tries to get
away with not putting it up when no one is visiting.  Lately, he has
received assistance from the owners.  The hammock has a net ...
Favourite toys22 Jul 2005 14:38 GMT10
Our cats each have their own favourite types of toy (hence the vast
quantity in our house!).
Fudge likes large fur mice with long tails, and Rosie rats
Caramel likes small fur mice, and a crinkly ladybug toy
I can't resist I have to share22 Jul 2005 14:06 GMT14

It Goes to the tune of Doggie in the Window (I think)

I see the Estonians have won the Wife-Carrying Championships again!
Don't the Finns take the sport seriously anymore? ;)

anybody want some cat food?22 Jul 2005 07:24 GMT11
Hi, guys...
Well, the vet sold me some food to feed to one of my kitties for a
supposed stomach/intestinal disorder (it was worms).  Sold me a big box
of this "Eukanuba Low-Residue Adult" canned cat food.  Told me to feed
Heat wave22 Jul 2005 06:02 GMT15
I have a digital indoor/outdoor thermometer that speaks when the
outdoor temp goes below freezing. This afternoon it spoke for the
first time in months. I was startled at hearing it, thinking it must
be broken cause I knew it wasn't freezing! Since it repeats the
Barn-A-BUS!22 Jul 2005 05:45 GMT9
It seems to be our mantra. He around 2 years old now, I would think he'd
give up his hoolikitten ways.
One day I came home from work and found the curtain rod and curtain on the
floor - BarnABUS!
Ping: Our Finn FriendsLONG&OT22 Jul 2005 02:48 GMT8
So what, if any, is your studied response to Jacque's blurted opinion that
Brit food, after Finnish, is the worst, in *his* exalted French judgement?
What gets into the man, anyway, to generate such statements?
Now everyone knows French food is thought to be the epitome of ...
Back Again...With New Pics22 Jul 2005 02:30 GMT5
Greetings to all. You may remember me as The Major, or Lord Nemesis, or
FrozenGhost213, or whatever other alias I wandered through the ether
under. (Hey, I'm proud of all my personalities. At least I have each
other.) Anyway, these days R'as fits my moods. For a memory refresher, ...
