The Cat Men of Parque Guell24 Jul 2005 02:13 GMT6
Two summers ago I was in Spain for almost a month. While traveling
through Barcelona, we visited Parque Guell and noticed there were TONS
of stray kitties roaming around. We also met these two elderly men, who
lived nearby and came to the park EVERY day to feed the strays. I
Little Miss and the fan24 Jul 2005 01:47 GMT4
It has been hot this week. So hot that I finally took the fan out of
the closet and set it up. The whole time I set it up, I worried that
the noise might scare Little Miss. After all, she dives for the closet
when the vaccuum starts up.

My son is really getting into this recipe sharing!  I had no idea he knew

Mere huntress23 Jul 2005 23:30 GMT8
Once again, Miranda woke me up in the middle of the night with her
playing. She had a toy that she was batting around and throwing high
into the air. In the dusk of a Scandinavian summer night, I saw that her
toy was something small and wedge-shaped. I pondered for a minute
More Troubles (OT)23 Jul 2005 22:41 GMT11
Sorry for another OT post but lately things just aren't great for a lot of
us, are they?  John drove up to Rochester, NY after his last show in Ohio to
see his mom.  She's 89 years old.  Last night he said she was raving,
screaming, incoherent, out of control.  I told him to call ...

Samson conquered his fears23 Jul 2005 20:10 GMT11
Samson came to us from the local ASPCA about five years ago.  He is a
beautiful large black cat with huge golden eyes that almost glow.  I
call him my miniature black panther.  I don't know what happened to
him before we adopted him, but I do know it wasn't all good.  It took
yet another woodland dropoff, sigh.23 Jul 2005 18:41 GMT3
Old Mine Rd has one home on its 7.5mi length and it's my favorite
bikeride.  Except for the heartache and trouble trying to rescue the
dropoffs by sub-humans in an area where they have little chance of
Hello from Aim23 Jul 2005 18:24 GMT8
I'm very late with this.  Only excuse is the group was in such uproar when I
got back from our trip last month and I forgot.
I went to a "gimpfest" (a meet of members of the arthritis support group) in
Portland Oregon last month.  Aim was there and I got to meet her along with

purrs for FIL tomorrow morning, please23 Jul 2005 15:47 GMT33
My father in law is going in for bypass surgery tomorrow morning,
7:30am Arizona time.
He doesn't like cats, but now's not the time to quibble.
He got a heart stress test on Wednesday.  He didn't have any weird
Problem with Basho23 Jul 2005 15:32 GMT20
Well, not what you think, Basho is fine. The problem is when I work from
home. Basho *has* to be as close to my chest as possible. Right now he's
standing between me and the keyboard, making typing difficult. I need to
somehow fit a cat bed between me and the keyboard or perhaps ...
wacky dreams ...23 Jul 2005 04:40 GMT5
Oscar's tummy was really upset last night -- at first I thought we had
an intruder in the house, but it turned out to be noises from her
belly!  Weird, as she's been eating the same food as usual.
Actually, she didn't eat her food last night ...  This morning,
