| Cat suddenly starts to use toilet to pee | 25 Jul 2005 01:16 GMT | 91 |
I'm sitting at this computer the other night and I hear a sound of flowing water coming from my nearby bathroom. I turn my head and I see the cat I adopted about 8 months ago squatted on the toilet seat, peeing down into the bowl. He apparently has perfect aim, too. Not a drop ...

| The Chronicles of Frank IX | 24 Jul 2005 21:30 GMT | 9 |
Here's the instalment that Frank dictated to me and wanted me to post when I got back to town. It's not so much part of his memoirs as a diary from the island this summer so far. -------------------------------------------------------

| [OT - Biking] Question for the Experts | 24 Jul 2005 20:19 GMT | 16 |
Or probably not even experts needed, just someone not as ignorant about "new-fangled" bicycles as I am. OK I have *SEVEN* whole gears on my new bike. Number 1 is when the pedals spin round and round really easy, and number 7 is where the pedals have some

| Yes, yes, yes! | 24 Jul 2005 19:17 GMT | 14 |
After about three weeks of nonstop highs in the 90s and several days in the 100s, it looks like we may get a break from this record-breaking weather. There's a bit of cloud cover and I've heard some thunder grumbling.

Mary in Clareview wrote: Our beloved Bucky cat, Princess Girl Cat Echo was hit by a car today and died. Some of you know of her and her particular taste in food. Or her pickiness I should say. We are going to miss her terribly.

Anyone else sniffle when Lance and Jan had a big hug on the podium? The top three, Lance, Ivan, and Jan, all just seemed to be in a good, jokey mood. And I swear Lance looked like he was going to cloud up when the national anthem played.

| Visiting the Petco Kittiez | 24 Jul 2005 14:48 GMT | 6 |
Mom and I were shopping today, and we stopped into Petco where we saw an incredible profusion of stripey-pants kittens, and were seized with terrible KF. It's also fun to watch the other people looking at and interacting with the kits.

| Whimper... | 24 Jul 2005 04:10 GMT | 10 |
Well, Norton (Tuxie) and Trixie (Gizmo) have gone to their forever home today. Both were playful and chasing me around (well as much as one can chase a cripple anyway). They even went willingly into their carrier.
