pics of the new Himalayan kitty26 Jul 2005 03:58 GMT13
She has been renamed Sofi by her new owner, my neighbor Judy.  Judy has
been wanting a long-haired cat and this all worked out great.  Sofi was
very shy but enjoyed being petted.  She purrs a lot.  Wish her luck in
her new "forever" home.
Allergy - Off topic or not?26 Jul 2005 03:05 GMT3
Some people are having trouble with cats. They get allergic reactions in
different forms, some people react to certain kinds of food, but here is one

Few kitty snippets25 Jul 2005 23:24 GMT9
This seems like maybe a good time to post about the cats.
Tigger is the neighbors' seven month old kitten; he spends a lot of
time at our office hanging out with our lawcat Ozzy, with whom he is
best buddies.  We are the ones who have twice taken Tigger to TED,
Quick catsitter purrs needed please!25 Jul 2005 18:48 GMT4
We're going to Orlando this afternoon for a week and a lady who lives
in our apartment building and who's a real catlover (she has about
thirteen!) is going to come over and feed Scout and Silver etc. We
went over there this morning to give her my key and to let her know
Awwww!25 Jul 2005 16:46 GMT3
I don't know why I like this picture so much, it's fuzzy and the light make
it too glary, but this just gives me the "awwwwww"s!

I just love that little nose sticking up in the air!  ;>
Serval on the loose25 Jul 2005 15:55 GMT8
According to local TV news, a serval has been seen several times in
the Crieve Hall suburb of Nashville, Tennessee.  A serval is a type of
African wildcat that weighs 30 to 40 pounds, with legs and ears that
are larger relative to the torso than those of a domestic cat (see

I was young and slender, lounging against the rail of a motorboat. The
sun was shining and there was a soft breeze blowing my long black
hair. I was enjoying the sight of the dolphins cavorting in the gentle
waves with the sea gulls swooping between sea and sky. I was at peace
Ping Jill - Another Great Recipe25 Jul 2005 13:04 GMT8
My son submitted another recipe to your site.  What do you think?  Note: *I*
didn't teach him any of these, *I* have trouble boiling water without
setting the kitchen on fire!  ;>  He creates all his own dishes.

All this talk of the island25 Jul 2005 12:33 GMT4
makes a girl need to get in the great outdoors and go a-hunting.
Vernon & Nathan were messing about with bicycles in the garage today (quelle
surprise... not!), so the felines were out there with them, in the garage,
in the garden, sitting on the top of Herman the German... ...
UPDATE: Jean Hobbs 24th July 200525 Jul 2005 10:51 GMT12
Jena's feeling *much* better after she changed nurses. The chest would is
healed, and the leg is now getting significantly better after the infection.
She is, however, worrying alot about Wilson who just doesn't seem to be
himself at the kennels. Jean is *very* eager to get back ...
Ping: Hopitus25 Jul 2005 05:13 GMT3
Hopitus!
It looks like I'm going to a conference in Denver in late September. Do
you think there's a chance we could meet? The conference will be held at
the Adam Mark's Hotel, is that close to you?
Orlie is a ballet fan25 Jul 2005 04:55 GMT1
Orlie has pretty much become a permanent fixture on my lap while I'm
surfing these days. He rarely takes much interest in what's on the
screen, but today I happened on Sylvie Guillem's web site
(http://www.sylvieguillem.com) and he was so fascinated by a short video
Benefits for Dummies25 Jul 2005 04:05 GMT8
No, not Idiot Insurance.
Louei and I have been bouncing about the idea of doing a benefit for a
struggling shelter, Tenth Chance, the people who gave us our dear little
(well, not so little now) Brandy. These poor people have a mountain of vet
Who are you, and what have you done with my kitten?!25 Jul 2005 02:59 GMT5
I can't believe it...my little Brandy-candy's turned into a Cat.
It seems to have happened overnight. Kitten fluff has turned into a shiny,
sleek calico tuxedo with a soft white shirt-front. Of course, I should have
expected this, she's already a year and a half old for heaven's ...
Cuddlebugs25 Jul 2005 02:20 GMT5
If you wonder where the cats are, odds are it's in the study curled up
on the box I showed you the other day... I caught them up there again
last night, looking like butter wouldn't melt in their mouths :)
