Finally!01 Jul 2005 19:10 GMT2
I just got a text message from Nancy on my phone. You remember I posted
a couple of months ago that Nancy had finally found a better job tht
would get her away from the slave-driver that currently keeps her
shackled to her desk 60 and 70 hours a week? And that her a****le boss
Diagnosis: Stress01 Jul 2005 19:03 GMT18
Okay, the word was a lot longer than that but the initial diagnosis by my
physician is stress.  Gee, can't imagine why I'd have any of that! LOL
He is going to talk to the other partners in the practice about putting me
on some sort of a monitor "at cost".  Said monitor has a button ...
[OT] Really good job interview01 Jul 2005 18:20 GMT7
It was a long and busy day today. First off, I slept about two hours
last night.
Then, I had an early interview with another recruiter, who is
presenting me to a company in Fort Worth. I had to drive in rush-hour
The dreaded blanket purrs01 Jul 2005 17:42 GMT3
I can't keep up with the posts.  I didn't sleep well night before last so I
spent most of the day on the couch.  I am obviously still not doing a great
job of it now from the MidSouth U.S.  So blanket purrs for everyone for
their furrbabies and any other critters.  And for all of ...
I'm a big girl now.01 Jul 2005 17:24 GMT4
Remember my name: Beatrice the Great! I attack ALL of the big kitties!
Nobody can beat me up! I am big and strong! My sights are set on being the
alpha kitty in this house! Nobody eats from the gooshy food plate until I am
finished with it! Size is irrelevant, GUTS is what counts! ...
Maui finally caved!!01 Jul 2005 17:04 GMT7
After my beloved Sade' died last April (`04), we got Maui that same month.
I wanted a new baby, I needed a new love.  Maui is a blue point Siamese.
He's absolutely gorgeous (w/ SKY blue eyes), and looked like a Panda bear
when he was an itty bitty.  Well, you can't make anything ...
OT:  Off to the mountains for a few days01 Jul 2005 17:01 GMT4
Good wishes and purrs to all who need them over the next few days.  We've
made a snap decision to head north in the Rocky Mountains this morning.
Should be lots of fun - road trips (besides the fighting) are always very
exciting for the kids :-)   http://www.pinebungalows.com/  ...
OT:  What's for dinner tonight?01 Jul 2005 16:59 GMT40
It's cool here (after a record heat wave for us in upstate NY), so hubby is
having a pasta dish he likes.  I like it too, but I like meat in mine
(chicken, pork or hamburgly meat).  We didn't thaw anything out, so he's
just having pasta and sauce and garlic bread.  Sauce w/out meat ...
Gee!  Only 13,000 posts to catch up on01 Jul 2005 15:45 GMT4
Hi there friends,
Troubleshooting DSL and Network problems at the same time can be a
b*tch.  In the interests of keeping my marriage intact, there has to
be only one person in charge of the network and in this case, the task
[OT] What a Deal!!01 Jul 2005 14:00 GMT12
When I was riding my bike* back up to my house tonight, I saw a work-out
machine on the curb being thrown out by our neighbors three doors down.
This thing is in perfect condition - with all the parts.

Ping Debbie W & Helen M01 Jul 2005 09:18 GMT2
Thank you both for offering to take my cats should the worst happen and at
one stage it seemed it might.  You are truly good people.
It looks like I might be here for a while yet now, so you are excused ;-)
It was one of my main worries.  I knew no "mainstream" people would be able ...
[OT] Must...avoid...distractions01 Jul 2005 09:03 GMT2
Well, *that* mantra failed miserably...
Senyah frequently asks me to look for books for her at the library. So
today, I connected to the library's web site, and logged into my
account (just to see what the length of the Harry Potter queue is -
Help Stop Drive-Through Killing01 Jul 2005 04:59 GMT18
Please urge your U.S. senators and representative to crack down on the
"hunting" of helpless animals in cages.
If you don't know what a canned hunt is, you're not alone. The folks who run
these operations don't want people like you to see them -- ever. That's
