Job purrs03 Jul 2005 00:48 GMT14
I've been looking for a new job for some time- mainly down to the fact
that where I work may be closing down and also due to a co-worker who
is a pain as well as intimidating. Anyway tomorrow I have an interview
for what sounds like a dream job, lot nearer home and much more
UPDATE4: Jean Hobbs02 Jul 2005 18:24 GMT19
Jean continues to want to thank everyone for the gorgeous cards.
She's not having a good time. The staff have not been listening to her, and
have not prescribed the correct medication regime. As a consequence, she's
got a nasty infection inher legs (where they took out the veins) ...
OT  Trip Pictures - But there are cats and kittens, big ones02 Jul 2005 17:26 GMT3
Just want to share pictures from our latest trip.  Charlie is still upset
that he didn't get to bring the baby white albino raccoon home

He grabbed the spoon02 Jul 2005 17:01 GMT7
This morning I spooned canned cat food onto Rusty's dish.
Afterwards, I let him lick the leftover on the spoon. He grabbed the spoon
with his paw and ate from it. When he dropped some, he
let go of the spoon and ate from the floor before going back to the
The Gods Must Hate Me02 Jul 2005 14:01 GMT10
At least this was a minor thing.  At least.
Storms.  I usually love storms.  Except for when they knock out the
power.
Last night, they decided to.
Ok.. question02 Jul 2005 12:48 GMT27
I don't believe it but others are debunking me. I think it's a joke... a
sick joke...

I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

"The Loving Ones" [TW]02 Jul 2005 06:39 GMT17
I've posted this link before, but I go back to it every so often and, even
though it makes me cry, it's so beautiful that I just have to read it again
and again.  So for the new-comers here who haven't seen this before, enjoy!

OT - question about the garden02 Jul 2005 01:59 GMT3
Yesterday at this time my sweet corn crop was head high. Then we had a
storm - badly needed the rain, but the wind was fierce and caused a lot of
the stalks to lay down almost flat against the ground (luckily, only one
stalk actually busted off).
My own fault02 Jul 2005 01:58 GMT3
I left a window open last night. Hence a certain three felines meowed,
"Whoopie!" and went on a hunting spree. This morning, on the carpet
immediately below the window, were six... yes, six rodents of the recently
deceased variety. Three voles, two shrews and a mouse. I wouldn't ...

Food preferences02 Jul 2005 01:15 GMT15
Tonight we had roast chicken and cornbread dressing with celery, which
I always accompany with a big scoop of cranberry sauce. The smell of
the chicken had Sheba at my feet and Robin on the window ledge trying
to reach my shoulder; and both were trying to convince me they were
OT, Long, don't give a damn; Joyce Brauer 1936 - 200501 Jul 2005 22:44 GMT16
My dear friend and surrogate mother Joyce, my best buddy's mama, passed
yesterday morning, after a long battle with cancer. She went peacefully, for
which I profoundly thank God; the Hospice people did a damn good job keeping
her out of pain and comfortable. If only they could do ...
Spot's latest TED visit01 Jul 2005 19:28 GMT3
Nothing but good news from Spot's visit today. Looks like her weight
has stabilized at around 7 pounds. She was 7.2 at her last visit, 6.9
today. Remember she was at a skinny 5 lbs when I brought her and the
kits inside. 2 pounds may not sound like much, but when you're
Sorry Dan M.01 Jul 2005 19:19 GMT52
Sorry Dan, when I saw Phillip's response to your post in rpch+b I blew my
top and used language that would shock my mom!  You are the one who is
helping to clean up the mess *HE* made by turning Conan back into a kill
shelter just because he didn't want to pay $200 for lab tests for ...
