OT: Crispy duck breasts with marsala fig sauce05 Jul 2005 18:49 GMT32
That's what we had for dinner tonight. YUM! Not hard to make at all.
1 cup dried figs, soaked in 1 cup marsala wine for several hours
2 duck breasts, patted dry, the skin pricked and scored, seasoned with
salt and pepper
Mayhem causing mayehm!!05 Jul 2005 18:42 GMT4
Yep, there's definitely mayhem in my apartment, literally.
Mayhem is picking fights with Imp and Mischief.  The other day,
Mischief was just sitting on the window looking out.  Mayhem jumped up
on the bed unseen and slowly crept up behind Mischief.  I saw it coming

BabyCat's Lesson in Social Skills05 Jul 2005 18:28 GMT6
Every once in a while, the cats do something that is just funny as
heck. This is probably one of those "you had to be there" stories, but
I'm going to try to tell it anyway.
BabyCat is being allowed out with the other cats more every day. Even
Guilty as charged?05 Jul 2005 17:08 GMT6
This afternoon both cats disappeared and I wondered where they were...
then I looked in the door of my craftroom and they were sitting on my
craft table snuggled up and looking adorable. I grabbed my camera and
rushed back in to the room.  I snapped a shot before Scouty jumped off
OT SIL motorcycle wreck update 205 Jul 2005 14:45 GMT8
Thanks again for the support.  I'm sorry I haven't responded.  I've been
away from the computer since yesterday's message.
My daughter reports that her husband now is developing the bruises and black
eye associated with his injuries, but his memory continues to improve.  He
Same ol' feeling05 Jul 2005 13:13 GMT1
I feel both sad and excited now.. In a few hours I am going to go on a
three-day vacation. I'm going to visit my family in Trondheim (Norway...),
the town where I grew up. It's situated 540 km (335 miles) north of Oslo,
where I live now. I will be driving up there with my ex-wife ...
RPCA05 Jul 2005 13:08 GMT22
I never so loved RPCA before today. I peeked over in RPCh+b. Oh my...
Maybe I shouldn't have because I enjoy posters here. I was ignorant of the
mayhem there.
Sheesh...
When NOT to talk on a Cell Phone (OT)05 Jul 2005 12:42 GMT19
Okay, just called John.  He said, "Hi Jill.  I'm at the urinal in the mens
room.  I guess this means now we've done everything together!"  Uh, I didn't
expect you to answer the phone with your **** in your hand!  He did put the
phone down to wash his hands.  Then he said he was ...
Persephone05 Jul 2005 11:42 GMT14
Persephone, our tuxeudo girlcat with a personality three times the
size of her diminutive body, has a new nickname - Rorschach Blot.
When I lifted her front legs up and DH and I had a look at her belly,
she looked *just* like an inverted rorchach blot test!  Of course,
Off soon05 Jul 2005 11:36 GMT13
Well, I'm off to the island tomorrow noon. I hope Frank won't regale us
with his 'singing' for all the three hours on the bus and the half hour
on the boat. :o/ I also hope Miranda isn't scared stiff the whole way,
like she was when we were going to TED. I hope it doesn't take ...
Ping: Howard (OT)05 Jul 2005 04:53 GMT9
Do you know where they will attach this Holter monitor thing?  I know the
leads go on my chest but what about the box itself?  I'm trying to figure
out what to wear and even though I have some loose clothing it's not so
loose that it won't be evident there's a box taped to my chest ...
Two Lumps today05 Jul 2005 02:55 GMT17
'Ello,
I am afeared that my brain may be packing it in. The last few months of
chronic overwork may be taking its toll. (No... no sympathetic purrs
please... it's my own company, so the ridiculous piles of work and
Sorry for the Crosspost ...05 Jul 2005 02:22 GMT1
I did not notice that rpca was included in the groups line.
Bubbels is Ruining My Life ;)05 Jul 2005 01:19 GMT14
It is such a stress reducer, a lot like popping bubble wrap but more fun.
My high score is 52,000.
Question: why do bubbels at the bottom sometimes
disappear even though you have not hit anywhere near them?  Tia
