Soaking up the love06 Jul 2005 10:19 GMT4
Abelard is home and smurgling up a storm in my lap. I haven't seen him like
this in a long time. He was demanding to be let back out but I said no, you
come here and sit in meowmie's lap for a while, I have missed you too much.
Well, he got right into it and now he won't get down. ...
T.S. Cindy - Good Luck to Louisianans!06 Jul 2005 05:12 GMT3
Tropical Storm Cindy is supposed to strike the US Gulf Coast somewhere
near the mouth of the Mississippi River later tonight/early tomorrow.
Good luck to all kitties and their hoomins (and even to d*gs, horses
and other creatures) in the area!
Oh, Abelard....!!!06 Jul 2005 04:09 GMT26
He stays out for days at a time. I haven't bothered posting about it since
the last time he vanished for almost 5 days but he's been doing the same
thing over and over. He'll stay gone for several days then show up for an
hour or so, then vanish for another 2-3 days, come home for ...
Double Whammy!06 Jul 2005 04:09 GMT6
Persia is in the closet again... not exploring; hiding :(  She got hit with
a double-whammy in the last hour.  First, more loud fireworks.  Then,
thunderstorms moved in, taking the place of the fireworks.  My poor sweet
pretty grey girl!  I hope this all calms down soon so she can ...
Ranger surprise06 Jul 2005 03:53 GMT30
It's too bad that kitten parts can be so difficult to identify :)
We had taken a look at Ranger's bits and determined that she was a girl
cat. We took another good look this morning - it now appears that Ranger
needs a blue collar, not a pink one!
OT SIL motorcycle wreck update 1 (long)06 Jul 2005 03:47 GMT11
Thanks to all who have expressed concerns and support for our son-in-law.  I
have been away from the computer and unable to read or respond to the
messages, but I know that the power of purr is working.
Our daughter reports that her husband is out of the hospital and home.  He
OT: If I don't post by tomorrow evening...06 Jul 2005 02:10 GMT16
it means I've collapsed due to heat exhaustion and I'm probably in the
hospital. :)
You see, the forecast for tomorrow is for a high temperature of over
101F with not a cloud in the sky. Also, tomorrow Tom and I will be
The great provider06 Jul 2005 01:49 GMT8
In the office Vernon I use we always have a window open during the summer
months and the cats come and go as they please.
A little earlier this afternoon, Vernon looked up at me and said, "What's
for dinner this evening? I'm starving!"
Going to meet the baby06 Jul 2005 01:24 GMT18
I'm going to see the kitten (Leo) whose picture I posted the other day.
I'm visiting him tomorrow, and probably paying a deposit for him. I'll
take the camera, of course. Watch this space.
Frog06 Jul 2005 00:51 GMT3
It's pooring with rain outside and Baggy just came through the flap with
a frog in his mouth. I just explained to him the frog doesn't mind the
rain, and put it back outside.
OT Purrs please05 Jul 2005 23:20 GMT21
Our son-in-law was in a motorcycle accident. A woman turned in front of him
and he ended up in a ditch.  He's in the hospital with serious road rash,
some broken bones and a concussion.
We'd appreciate the power of purr, prayers, or any positive vibrations you
Purrs or something needed - onry cat05 Jul 2005 21:46 GMT11
Could some of the cats out there please send Jake some show your furry butt
thoughts?  I know he is in the house somewhere.  We cannot find him.  We've
looked outside as well.  But I really don't see how he could have got out
since the last time I played with him a few hours ago. ...
[OT] Tactfulness, thy name is Mom (not)05 Jul 2005 20:05 GMT220
Let me preface this by saying that I love my mother.  She is a good
person, she's kind-hearted, and she doesn't mean to hurt anyone.
It's just that she seems to have no filter between her brain and her
mouth.
BabyCat Update05 Jul 2005 20:04 GMT17
Babycat has now officially given up her bottle. Not willingly. She
still crawls up and starts biting my face, that's the signal she wants
the bottle. I let her have the bottle way too long, even after she was
eating kitten food real well.
