| Ordering the Cake | 08 Jul 2005 23:06 GMT | 6 |
So I went into to order the cake for my party. I'm getting it at a grocery story, so it isn't too expensive. You can tell them what you want, though, and they will make it up for you. "And what do you want it to say?" she asked.

| CJ and the vet | 08 Jul 2005 22:19 GMT | 6 |
I don't think I have written about CJ here: he's my newest cat - a bit less than two years old, black and white, medium long hair, and wonderful disposition. One of his previous humans was allergic to him so I took him in to become the twelfth cat in my clowder.

In addition to sleeping next to me last night, Abelard has been staying close to me all day today. I am absolutely thrilled. Hoping he won't drift away anymore!

| Spotty Update | 08 Jul 2005 22:18 GMT | 8 |
Thanks for the purrs everyone. She came through the spay without any problems and I just picked her up from TED. I did make a quick trip back to the clinic after getting home, since I thought they had given me the wrong take home meds. I was expecting pain medication. Course,

| Bandit, Snowball & Raki at TED: update | 08 Jul 2005 22:15 GMT | 5 |
Many thanks for all the purrs. Snowball's dental was fine, though he had to lose one tooth with defective enamel (or similar). He's a favourite cuddlebunny with all the staff & I had trouble getting

| playing again | 08 Jul 2005 19:22 GMT | 3 |
Yesterday I found one of Rusty's old toy - a ping pong sized ball he got for Kissamouse. I tossed it to him and he just watched roll and ignored it. Then this morning I heard him playing soccer, or rather hockey, since

| false heat | 08 Jul 2005 18:58 GMT | 1 |
One of my kitties, Buck, will occasionally display some heat-like behaviour (yowling, rolling around, "presenting", generally being unbearable), even though she's spayed. I asked about this here once before, and suggestions included checking her UT health and a getting a

| Ping Victor - Question | 08 Jul 2005 18:00 GMT | 2 |
Victor, I was wondering how that cloth cat condo you bought (the one that hangs from a door) was holding up. Is it still in use, do the cats still like it, has it held up OK? Hugs,

| Three days and counting! | 08 Jul 2005 13:13 GMT | 2 |
Perhaps Abelard's wanderlust has been satisfied.... He's been home for three days in a row and needless to say I am jumping for joy! This morning I shot some video of him playing with some of the other cats but I have not had time to process it yet. Will do so soon and post link for

| Vets, scratching and Little Miss | 08 Jul 2005 13:07 GMT | 6 |
Since Little Miss came into my life last October, she has had her share of vet visits. She first had to get over her URI, and eye-gunk infection. As soon as she got well from that, the next thing I know she started have bleeding sores on her back, right between her shoulder

| He stayed all night!!! | 08 Jul 2005 12:57 GMT | 4 |
Happiness reigns!! I woke today with Abelard and Beatrice snuggled up against my back. Rising at 6:30 AM is a bit too early for Abelard's taste, he tried to eat breakfast but is now sleeping with his nose in the dry catfood dish.
