London10 Jul 2005 22:30 GMT34
Goodness, but news from London has gone from one extreme to another
within the last 24 hours.
Purrs and good thoughts to all the [justifyably] terrified people in
London today.
What do you think ?10 Jul 2005 21:21 GMT13
Dear friends,
Since our male slave Peter went away, our Meowmie has been living a
different kind of life.  This life involves her being out much more than
she used to be.  I don't always like her being out and when I don't,

Lily photo10 Jul 2005 20:43 GMT18
Lily has discovered Jazz's cat tree and has taken over. It's strange, after
several years of seeing this 15-pound handsome boy lounging on his cat tree,
to pass by and see a teeny-tiny head with big ears and round eyes peeking
over the edge. You can see the picture at:

Charleen,
You had mentioned that Mr. Pumpkin had trouble with the blood vessels in his
eyes and I was wondering what the visible symptoms were? Our Cali has
developed a brown spot in one of her Corneas, so I was wondering if she
Little Miss and the Cable Guy10 Jul 2005 18:17 GMT4
The other day the cable guy came out to install high speed cable
(YEAH! No more dial-up). While I stayed home waiting for him to show
up, Litle Miss had quite the adventures.
First of all, several neighborhood cats had to stop by the front
UPDATE: Jean Hobbs 10th July 200510 Jul 2005 16:52 GMT7
Jean really wants to thank all of you very much for the cards and support.
She's out of hospital now, much to her relief, and staying with her
daughter.
Her leg is still infected, unfortunatley, but is healing slowly. Her chest

The White Cat - a story of how I befriended a feral cat10 Jul 2005 05:02 GMT5
I recently posted a story about a stray cat on my web site. The story
is based on a true experience, although I did exercise a little
literary license in the interests of making it more entertaining.
The story is about 5,000 words, so it's not a two minute read. It is
A Breakthrough for Spotty10 Jul 2005 03:48 GMT4
... came today when I got home from mowing. I opened up the bedroom
door to let the cats mingle. Spot ran into the bedroom to see want the
other girls were up to like she normally does. Usually Spot approaches
Sammy and they do a long distance nose sniff - maybe 4-6 inches away,

The final bill was $531.24, after a 10% senior discount.  That included the
anesthetic, the IV, an infusion so she wouldn't get thirsty, cleaning and
polishing the teeth, pulling two, as well as a bag of goodies to bring home.
There is some stuff to mix with the water I give her ...
Record high10 Jul 2005 00:20 GMT19
Yesterday we hit a record high for the day: 104F (40C). We haven't had
rain in 5 weeks. It's brutal.

Close sitter09 Jul 2005 22:52 GMT9
Anyone remember that old Seinfeld episode about the close talker?
Well, I've discovered that Vino is a close sitter.
Whenever I lie down on the couch, or on my back in bed, he comes up
and meatloafs on my chest.  But it's not really my chest, it's more
Just for fun - a CAT scan!09 Jul 2005 20:48 GMT15
Silver's fascinated with the noise that the scanner makes and she
likes to lie on top of it... so just for fun I opened it up and she
jumped on and I hit the SCAN button... the 300dpi scan didn't work
because she kept moving, but a 72dpi scan was quick enough to catch

I have to show off. Tom took some great shots of some of the cats and
