GOW wars part 311 Jul 2005 23:00 GMT6
We've had the gassing contest, then the staring contest, and last week, the
waking contest.
Day one:  5 am:  I am awakened by the feeling that flies are walking all
over my face and congregating on my cheeks.  I open my eyes to see white fur
Sammy's Not Talking to Me!11 Jul 2005 22:23 GMT13
She won't even look at me, much less come let me pet on her!  She has spent
half the day hiding under the couch.
I was an evil meowmie.  I betrayed her!  I took her to.....
*TED*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the Road Again11 Jul 2005 21:35 GMT5
We're off again for a race at Watkins Glenn, NY - but this time I get an
exciting addition to our race weekend.  Norm is going to come to the
track on Saturday so I get to meet him.  Unfortunately, we didn't have
time to visit him at his house and meet his kitties but I'm excited ...
One for the humour file11 Jul 2005 13:04 GMT1
Bush and Osama decided to settle the war once and for all. They sat
down and decided to settle the whole dispute with one dog fight. They
would have 5 years to breed the best fighting dog in the world and
whichever side's dog won would be entitled to dominate the world.
Outside whee11 Jul 2005 12:38 GMT5
How do I stop a rambunctios kitty from wanting to race out the front
door and then the screen door? (We have a large area between the two
doors)
She, Buffy, only seems to want to do this when the weather is
That face!11 Jul 2005 06:37 GMT11
I just love it when Persia wakes me up in the morning!  Okay, maybe not when
she tries it at 4 AM, but you know what I mean :)  It starts with a gentle
tap on my shoulder, neck or ear.  When I roll over I see these big luminous
green eyes, pupils dilated hugely in the darkened room, ...
We must PAY ATTENTION11 Jul 2005 05:27 GMT1
Sugar is so silly. Now, she can play with little toys and twisties by
herself for a good hour while I am on the computer or whatever and not make
a sound, but sometimes when I go to bed, she plays and then she must make
this merowling sound. So I call, and call her and tell her it ...
Hot cats in Norway11 Jul 2005 04:42 GMT4
Summer has definitely arrived to our cold country. After a very chilly May
and June, we finally got the temperatures that we like (and some dislike).
Today temperature went up to more than 31º C (88º F). Inside my flat it is
27º C now (81º F).
Another on the mark cat comic11 Jul 2005 04:26 GMT1
This one is about what cats are thinking when they bring home their
catches: "The Mows" for Sunday.
The main link is <http://themows.com/index.htm>, but if you come to it
after Sunday, you'll have to navigate to it.  The specific page
Ahhh, lidocaine spells relief11 Jul 2005 03:35 GMT6
I took the advice of whichever wise person suggested lidocaine.  I
bought the Hawaiian Tropics version because it had the highest
percentage of that lovely active ingredient.  It doesn't even smell
bad.  I'd expected to smell like horse linament.
New photo albums for Holly and Duffy11 Jul 2005 03:24 GMT4
I just "created" new Picture Trail photo albums for Holly and Duffy.  Some
of the photos are duplicates of the ones I use in the albums that illustrate
Duffy's introduction to Holly, but many are new.
Here are the links, for those who would like to view them.  Warning:  When
Walking in PetSmart11 Jul 2005 02:21 GMT7
Today, Little Miss and I went to PetSmart. She's been restless for the
last couple of days, and when she's like that, it means she needs a
PetSmart fix.
She usually just sits in my arms while I push the cart with my stomach.
Adoption Day anniversary11 Jul 2005 01:41 GMT29
It was two years ago today that tiny little Samuel kitten walked into
the trap I had set for him outside the parking lot at work.
I will never forget the way he checked out the cage when it first
appeared. He had been hiding under a large hedge (perhaps 15 feet
Purrs for Dan11 Jul 2005 00:20 GMT32
I hope he doesn't get syphilis on one of his road trips.
HORK!
Who's in the box?10 Jul 2005 23:55 GMT4
Just had to share what just happened behind my back as I was reading
the NG. A little while ago Spot and Sammy were playing (yes, actually
playing together). They took turns getting in the cardboard box while
the other would reach in through the holes in the box (Note: this box
