Some cats sure are special12 Jul 2005 11:54 GMT11
In 1990 we found a 6 week old kitten on a country road beside the 401,
a major Ontario highway.  It was just by chance because the flea market
we were going to wasn't open yet, so we were driving around, killing
time.
More Human Purrs12 Jul 2005 11:40 GMT27
My dad has had his share of trials and tribulations.  A few months ago he
had surgery to correct blockages in the femoral artery in his leg.  Last
week he had a spot removed from his nose and it was bioposied and is
melanoma.  He has 4 more spots to be removed from his face in the ...

Connecticut Humane Society?
Picking up the mail today, I found a pink-hued solicitation letter for the
Connecticut Humane Society's Spring Fund Drive, reminding me to send a
donation, assuring me that the animals they take in "are cared for in a

I've never seen her like this.  I uncovered her cage and she was all hunched
over and totally fluffed up like a bird does when it is sick.  She blinked
at me but didn't really respond much.  Birds are like cats in that they hide
illness well.

Moe has this passion for bottle caps - preferably the metal ones as they
make more noise on the hard floors in the house (kitchen, "dat tiled room"
and the hardwood floors in the bedroom).  She loves for us to throw them, so
she can "hunt" them, and bring us her "catch", and then ...
Tweaker's Big Day12 Jul 2005 02:13 GMT3
You may recall the circumstances under which I acquired Tweaker in
March of this year.  He was splattered on the pavement.  He was a
semi-feral barn cat, underweight and unneutered.
But once he recovered from his bleeding nose, mouth, ears and

Ping Victor re: Revolution Purchase Online12 Jul 2005 01:46 GMT12
Victor, wasn't it you who said you buy the large dog Revolution for your
cats online and then break it down for cats to save money?  If not, please
anyone jump in to correct any wrong assumptions.
As I see it, at petmeds.com the prices are:

I had a bad night last night.  My mom has cancer and I'm so worried.  I
broke down when hubby and I went to bed.  `Guess I needed a good cry.
Anyway, I told hubby to please let me sleep in this morning.  As I started
to "come to" today, I called out to hubby to see if he was inside ...
Great cat name12 Jul 2005 01:15 GMT6
Kristi's post on the boarding cats Aretha and Whitney reminded me of
this: I took Mithu in for a booster shot for FeLV this weekend and the
vet tech was telling me that his cat talked in a similar voice to
Mithu's.  His cat's name: Chit Chat.
Bandit's Love Affair With Downy12 Jul 2005 00:31 GMT8
There's only *one* bad thing about working from home.  My third worst
allergy is cat hair (only third because honey bee stings and eating oysters
will kill me within minutes whereas cat hair will only make me very ill).
Now that I'm in the house 24/7 I don't get any break from ...

The Stripey Thing slips out11 Jul 2005 23:34 GMT8
I have never been so grateful to have insomnia in my life. I woke up and
couldn't get back to sleep so I came out to the computer.  I kept
hearing a cat meowing so I opened the front door and it got louder.  I
put on some clothes and went out the front door where I did the ...
