Pearl has been chasing Sugar again and playing! She's acting normal finally! Maybe it just took this long to adjust to the meds but at least yesterday and today she is acting like herself!!

| I'm A Terrible Meowmie | 18 Jul 2005 03:19 GMT | 14 |
Babycat is out of control. She was just so tiny, so teeny-tiny I was way too permissive with her. Now I have a seven-week-old hoolikitten. She attacks anything that moves, and is a leg-climber and hand-biter. I've tried all the tricks I've gleaned over the years off newsgroups.

| Squirrel's story (he won't stop giving me the hairy eyeball til I tell it) | 18 Jul 2005 03:00 GMT | 2 |
There was an old lady who lived in a shoe.. no no no a house and she had so many cats she didn't know what to do. Well she let the cats roam and this house is about 2 mins away from my apartment. Sadly, the females are not spayed so the collection kept

| Beautiful thunderstorm aftermath | 18 Jul 2005 01:19 GMT | 12 |
On the way home, Friday, we had some pretty severe thunderstorms in Dallas. Streets and highways were flooding, visibility (and driving abilities) were poor (grin). But I made it home okay, and saw this beautiful double rainbow.

| Whooohooo! | 18 Jul 2005 01:14 GMT | 6 |
We have finally 'bonded' and are now playing, sleeping, roaming comfortably! I knew that this was possible--but wasn't sure that I would be able to get my new brood adjusted after adopting them from the humane society. Even my tortie jumps in my lap now--only if George is in it--and ...

Well, not really blond, but Sugar is getting "oranged tipped" from sleeping in the summer sun! I will have to try to get a picture.

| Stanley the Toe-Monster | 17 Jul 2005 23:32 GMT | 2 |
Stanley has an interesting little personality trait that he has made apparent from the day we adopted him and his brother, Captain. Once you've petted him, or skritched him on the head, when you turn and walk away he usually pounces on your foot. Sometimes he just delivers a

| Vet Tech Journals: a sad day.... | 17 Jul 2005 22:56 GMT | 12 |
One of my favorite kitties was put down today..... As a vet tech, there are animals that are regulars and you can't help but get attachec to them. Like Zeus, the great dane. He was huge, bulky and hard to handle, but you still loved him. Lothario was really

| Spotty's progress | 17 Jul 2005 22:44 GMT | 5 |
I know intregration sometimes takes time, but yesterday was discouraging. At times it seemed like we were right back at the beginning - no one was getting along. Spotty chased LB two or three times. I give her a time out in the bathroom for 10-15 minutes each

| What a morning :^) | 17 Jul 2005 22:35 GMT | 12 |
I'd like to share with you my first morning as a bank receptionist at my vet's. I was due at work at 8.00 am and so last night set my bedside clock's alarm for 5.45 am. I thought getting up that early would give me plenty

| A 'Leo the Lion' similarity???? | 17 Jul 2005 22:08 GMT | 2 |
It is the story (fable?) of 'Leo the Lion' where the boy removes the thorn from the lions paw and they become friends, is it not? My somewhat 'similar' story ... I was living in a small 'mother-in-law' apartment in West Palm beach

| Cats and rats :-) | 17 Jul 2005 21:56 GMT | 6 |
I found some old pics, I wanted to share with you. Back in the late 80s, I lived alone with three cats (all RB). I once sitted a rat that belonged to a friend of mine. It was a female, called Bertie. I carefully watched all four, never leave Bertie alone in a room with

| Peepers charges his nana! (cute story) | 17 Jul 2005 21:32 GMT | 14 |
I remembered this story tonight and thought I'd share it, you know get into the mode of swapping cute cat stories. My 4 year old cat Peepers is extremely shy and generally only likes my friend and I. He is big-boned plus can afford to lose a few pounds. He's

| Not for the squeamish :^) | 17 Jul 2005 21:31 GMT | 3 |
This memo is from an unnamed computer company. It went to all field engineers about a computer peripheral problem. The author of this memo was quite serious, but the engineers rolled on the floor: Mouse balls are now available as FRU (Field Replacement Unit).
