| Smokey's trick | 19 Jul 2005 16:19 GMT | 3 |
One night during a storm I got a phone call. I wasn't going to answer it, but it just kept ringing, so I did. My best female friend was on the other end, crying. "I can't find Smokey!" She couldn't find her new husband's cat and she was afraid it had gone outside when she

She's fine! She got more of the Ornacylcline and is back to her happy self. Just so happens FedEx delivered a box to me today which contains some flax seed (she loves that!) and a new bell-toy I'd ordered. I just hung the new toy and all I can hear are little bells ringing. She's ...

| They hate lotion | 19 Jul 2005 14:54 GMT | 23 |
Samson won't come near me if I have any lotion of any kind on. He gets that same horrified look that he makes whenever he smells peppermint and he backs away from me quickly. Cleo doesn't look horrified about the lotion. She just gives me a nasty look that

| Who would have known? | 19 Jul 2005 12:35 GMT | 9 |
My step-daughter came and got her piano today. Much to Harry and Oreo's delight, when we moved the piano away from the wall, hundred of little furry mice, kitty balls, bells, and other toys were found. It's like Christmas for the kitties all over again.

Cinnamon is going to the vet tomorrow to have her teeth cleaned. Even though her blood work is okay, I'm still worried because she is 10 years old. Ann

| D*g visit is over | 19 Jul 2005 11:53 GMT | 4 |
Well, the in-laws and their critter have left. The cats are still not venturing into the living room, where Daisy was contained. Luna won't even come into the house, she's spent all of her time in the enclosure. I hope they will forgive us soon. :)

| My 2 Anecdotes worth. | 19 Jul 2005 08:08 GMT | 15 |
I told this already, but thought I'd share it here. I have a cat named Ruprecht. He is a large male tabby. Most of my neighbors think he is a hybrid dog of some sort. Ruprecht loves to munch!

| It worked - thanks | 19 Jul 2005 04:52 GMT | 8 |
I just wanted to say thank you to you all for your purrs last night, it worked! We went round there again in the evening to feed the brood. They have a cat flat and the 4 others came straight in as soon as they heard us. I told Max not to call for George as he might recognise his

| Booping the Cube | 19 Jul 2005 03:31 GMT | 10 |
Last winter we bought a fabric covered, foam cube cat bed for the owners. It has a dangly toy hanging from the top and extra padding on the bottom so that the cats can be cozy and "hidden" if they want. It used to sit under my computer desk.

why are some meds sublingual? is the intent to absorb the medicine into the lining of your mouth, or something else?

| Purrrr-eeesh! | 18 Jul 2005 21:38 GMT | 12 |
Persia was getting some scritches and purring like mad. Suddenly her nose wrinkled up and she sneezed. It sounded so funny, she was still purring through the sneeze (purrrrr-eeesh!) It's funny when she yawns when she's purring, too :)

| Cheap cat toy | 18 Jul 2005 21:21 GMT | 3 |
I wear out the heels of my ankle length socks and toss them out when I find them while folding the clean laundry. One day I had the bright idea to put a couple of tablespoons of catnip in the toe of the wholly sock and then tie a knot that would include the heel area. Instant

| Worth a try | 18 Jul 2005 19:40 GMT | 22 |
This is my first time asking for purrs. We're cat sitting my best friends 5 cats and one of them has gone missing. He's the only sick one and hasn't had his medication today, he's never gone missing before and we're really worried. Have called the vet, and the vet hospital

| Xoxo gets a clean bill of health | 18 Jul 2005 19:39 GMT | 13 |
Xoxo went for his annual TED appointment this morning. The little bugger hid from me when it came time to go! He has a very solid routine: after breakfast, he goes to our bed and sleeps all day. Every day. But not today. Today he decided to go into the enclosure and nap there. It ...
