Laid-back21 Jul 2005 08:01 GMT15
I'm having a break from the vegging-out session on sofa watching current
stage of Tour de France... Watching all of those perfectly toned male rears
in close-fitting Lycra cycle shorts is exhausting ;-)
Anyhow, whilst I was sat on sofa, a striped cat joined me and positined
Seen through the window21 Jul 2005 07:08 GMT2
I happened to be looking out of the kitchen window the other day when I saw
the side view of a cat coming through the fence from next door, 3/4 acre and
the house is empty.  Boyfriend on rat patrol, I thought, it was just like
him.
Samson The First's incredible journey21 Jul 2005 06:19 GMT1
When I was very young we had another black cat named Samson.  He was a
loving beautiful big tomcat who spent most of his time outdoors.  We
moved from one small town to the next one, about 15 miles away.  We
left him behind with one of the neighbors because he had always been
Trouble update21 Jul 2005 03:24 GMT2
Trouble seems to be doing well.  Yesterday he seemed to be much
improved, in that he was actually coming up to me & Mr Mogget, wanting
to be cuddled.
His wound looks clean - fingers crossed, especially since last time I
That little S***!21 Jul 2005 02:08 GMT15
Harvey is very very picky as to what flavors of food he will let grace
his palete.  Salmon flavor is not one of them, he never eats it when I
give it to him. Well Bob Marley (the ferret)eats food that is Salmon
flavored, last night I caught Harvey sticking his paw in Bob Marley's
The Acclimating Roadcat21 Jul 2005 00:00 GMT15
It has now been two months since we've been on the road, so Harri Roadcat
has had some adjusting to do. She no longer gets me all to herself, she is
no longer the only kitty in the picture, and she can no longer ignore all
other people and cats.
Lightning!  Quinn!20 Jul 2005 21:49 GMT6
The thunder woke me up, Quinn was gone from the foot of the bed.  For a
few seconds I lay there wondering how far off the storm was then I
remembered:  the car was open.  The bike was on it.  Papers and
magazines were on the table outside.  I remembered looking at the Times'
More Vet Tech Journals.20 Jul 2005 21:09 GMT8
Well, during the week it's not so busy at the clinic.  We actually got
to leave a 6 pm instead of like 7 or 8 pm tonight.  it's the weekends
that get crowded when everyone is on vacation.
Depending on how busy we are I'll be bringing in Imp and maybe Mischief
My Ghost Cat20 Jul 2005 20:40 GMT7
Several years ago hubby and I bought the house I grew up in.  In 1970
I got a cat named Miss Kitty who slept with me until she passed on.  I
grew up, moved away, and got married.  When DH and I moved into the
house we knew we wanted pets, so we adopted two cats, Samson and Cleo,
TED won't know what hit 'em20 Jul 2005 19:16 GMT1
In 45 minutes we have an appointment (bi-annual, late) with our TED... all
three cats and the dog.
Two of my cats push 15 pounds or more. And one is still technically a
kitten. The other... well, let's just say she's hell in black fur when she's
Clyde - Dump Cat20 Jul 2005 13:29 GMT8
DH has had a bad back so hence the entrance of the Lawnmower Man.   He
whipped around the lawn and did the edges while '3 you know whos'
investigated his van.   He offered to take away any extra rubbish so van
and trailer were soon full.
Meatloaf!20 Jul 2005 13:22 GMT13
Just wanted to share a Perfect Meatloaf!
http://www.cs.fiu.edu/~flynnj/kittenpics/imagepages/shiny-meatloaf.jpg.html
Note how shiny his coat is. He's such a cutie...
Yesterday he caught a lizard in the house! Who knows how it got in.. but
The Visitor20 Jul 2005 13:07 GMT10
After work, I went outside and met a new neighbourhood resident. He's a
handsome semi long hair grey cat with some signs of tabby stripes, an
impressively plumed tail, and a natty breakaway collar with a little bell.
He was a little startled by the creaking door, but was quickly ...
Not really OT, - found in the "Letters" section of local paper20 Jul 2005 09:28 GMT4

Still good people in the world

In today's world of terrorists, murderers, every kind of horrible human
Another cheap cat toy20 Jul 2005 07:57 GMT7
Last Christmas we had some mixed nuts in the shells in a bowl by the
tree.  Cleo found them.  She might have thought they were her present.
She scooped out one, then another , and a third.  An English walnut,
an almond, and a pecan.  She batted each one a few times and then
