A bit of good news from our revered (?) health authorities (or not): Announced on tv yesterday: eating a bit of DARK (not milk) chocolate contributes to lowering blood pressure (not noted how much either chocolate nor b.p. lowering). I intend to take advantage of this blurt 411 ...

| Worst cat names ever (and why) | 21 Jul 2005 19:35 GMT | 26 |
Top of the list has to be Trouble. I didn't give Trouble her name. Hubby did. Or maybe she gave it to herself. She certainly earned it. The night we found her it took about two hours to catch her, one hour to research how to make kitten

| Persia's Catnip Sock | 21 Jul 2005 19:07 GMT | 28 |
Every couple of weeks I refill Persia's "sock" with the good catnip (I keep it stored in the freezer). Her "sock" has a velcro closure to make emptying and refilling it simple. Catnip only makes her slightly crazy. She doesn't normally get the zoomies but she rolls around with it ...

| Poem for those that have lost pets - TW | 21 Jul 2005 17:52 GMT | 4 |
SammySamSam - my gray stray who was left behind last year when his slaves moved away has just jumped up onto the couch and with a beseeching look has moved the laptop off of my lap and curled up on my lap and gazes into my eyes as I stroke his ears. It makes typing difficult so I ...

| Breach of Promise, Dan, | 21 Jul 2005 17:47 GMT | 36 |
Along with libel, now. I have documented proof that you promised to pick Conan up, and that you contracted with me to do it, then went back on your word. I have the email where you offered me your cell phone number--and where I asked if I might call you after you picked Conan up,and ...

| A new 'favourite spot' | 21 Jul 2005 15:23 GMT | 5 |
The girls found themselves a new 'favourite spot' today... John's laptop came packed in a huge box and I stacked it in the corner of the spare room for want of any better storage spot. The girls sniffed around it, and last night they got brave enough to jump up on top of

Silver has a strange fascination with the shower curtain... whenever you go into the bathroom she'll follow, and then jump up onto the edge of the bath so that she's sandwiched between the shower curtain and the door. Now I know why! (see pictures)

For the past 2 years we have been trying to catch MamaKat - she is the mother-cat of Weeble, Ernie, Mimi & Moe (but Weeb is older & from another litter). This afternoon I look out back, and there, in the shade of our dogwood tree,
