The Summer 2005 summit of the Finnish contingency of rpca27 Jun 2005 12:53 GMT15
We met! Christine K and I met in town today. I handed over the feline
mystery books to her, and we went for a nice ice cream and nattered
about our cats. As you may be able to tell from the photo, it's hot (for
us) in Helsinki today. The same photo is in the Catslaves 'We met' ...

If you can last for 18 seconds, you are doing brilliantly!

Luna and Maya at TED27 Jun 2005 07:30 GMT13
Luna and Maya went for their annual physical today. Let me say that Luna
and Maya *love* cat carriers. But only if they are open and inside the
house. If you put a cat carrier on the floor and open it, cats will
fight to get inside of it. But don't dare take it outside, no sir!
Fez lost his gravity challenge27 Jun 2005 06:26 GMT5
Well, I actually don't know what Fez was doing at the moment, I just
heard the thump. I turned and I saw the cat bed that used to be on top
of the armoir on the floor, and Fez was scurrying away. I picked up the
bed (a solid cylinder with a hole in it, all carpeted) and put it ...

I swear, the boy is closer to being booted than any cat I've seen.

[OT] My Bikey!27 Jun 2005 03:43 GMT13
Two weeks ago I bought an odometer for my bikey (OK, I now have an odometer,
an oo-ga oo-ga horn, a bottle holder, a halogen headlight, a red flashing
tail light, reflectors, and sling my fanny pack with wallet (in case I get
in an accident, I'll have ID) and my cell phone over the ...
The Homebound Roadcat27 Jun 2005 03:32 GMT23
We just got off the phone with Dr. Moore's assistant - Harri is coming
home! We can go het her any time after 10:30. We'll get some photos of
the pickup, and I'll post them as soon as we return home.
Everybody, thank you, thank you, thank you! For your purrs and prayers,

Shorter one... I'm afraid of forgetting so I'm writing these when I can and
thought to share them with you at the same time.
She learned a trick, that was very new and unfortunately nobody else was
able to see it. It was an odd one, I'm not quite sure what she was doing but
I scared Vino...twice!27 Jun 2005 02:47 GMT7
Ugh, the rats are back :-(  How typical, mere days after Dennis
leaves for work for another 4 weeks.  Last night I went to put
something in the garbage under the kitchen sink and what do I see but
a ginormous rat staring back at me.  I screamed, jumped back and flung
Eve #227 Jun 2005 02:40 GMT2
Eve took the hairless kitten to heart. She stayed in trouble and we think,
very much liked it there. And she was very vocal when she believed I was
standing in the way of her mischief.
She had another mom. She actually had three of us. Tonya and Shawna kept her
Let's bring this to an end.27 Jun 2005 01:43 GMT1
Jill & I know each other a bit from private mailing in the past, and she is
not upset with what I said.  I am not ashamed about what I said either and
would do it again.
What I don't like is that it has caused those of us who need emotional

New Way to Wake Up Mommy27 Jun 2005 00:30 GMT6
I think I tried to post this but it either got lost in the ether or was when
my newsserver was having problems.  If it's a repeat, I apologize.
Persia normally wakes me up by purring in my ear accompanied by a gentle tap
on my neck or shoulder.   The other morning she tried a new ...
Hurt and shocked26 Jun 2005 23:56 GMT77
I hadn't realised that my posts for support through my (perhaps) terminal
illness had been seen as whimpering by some.
Any others feel like that?  I would like to know.
If so, maybe this is not such a safe place to share worries, as well as cat
